What to wear whitewater rafting in Jackson Hole?

Whether you are a first time rafter, or a seasoned veteran, dressing appropriately can make your rafting trip far more enjoyable.

What clothing should you wear?
Do’s
• Bathing Suits or Shorts
• Clothing that is water proof or that dries quickly is best, many prefer a wet suit.
• Dry Bag, for anything you want to keep dry.
Don’ts
• Cotton Clothing, it tends to stay wet and heavy
• Bring too much, rafts don’t have a lot of space so pack light!
• Jewelry
• Expensive Electronics
• Wallets
Appropriate Shoe Wear:
For safety reasons:
Avoid wearing loose sandals, flip-flops, Crocs or other loose fitting shoes.
Wear old sneakers (that you don’t mind getting wet), boat shoes, or other tight fitting water resistant shoes.

Sunglasses
Life Jackets:
Anytime you are participating in a water sport, you should wear a life jacket. There is always a chance you will fall into the water, and a life jacket can be critical in saving your life.
You are 5 times less likely to drown if you are wearing a life vest.
Remember, life jackets are not Just for kids. Four of five drowning incidents involve adults, life jackets can save anyone, not just kids.
Other things to consider bringing:
Sun Screen – During warm summer days
Water Resistant Jacket – Cooler summer days
First Aid Kits
Leave in your car:
Towels – To dry off afterwards
Change of dry clothes for after rafting.
