serial number registered in the NFR TR. Using the removed serial number, the defendants would

1 manufacture a completely different model and style machine gun, typically a larger and more

2 expensive machine gun such as, Thompsons, 1919s, and MAG58s/M240s. The defendants

3 would weld the removed serial number into the new machine gun that they had manufactured

4 after May 19, 1986. The defendants would register and transfer these new machine guns amongst

5 themselves and others by filing an A TF Form 3 or an A TF Form 4 by falsely utilizing the

6 registered serial number. The defendants would sell the firearms and in exchange would receive

7 money or items of value.

16. By manufacturing these firearms into the above described new configurations while

24 using the previously registered serial number, the defendants were able to profit from the

25 possession, transfer, and sale of machine guns that the defendants and others were otherwise

26 prohibited to manufacture, possess, transfer, and sell.
