Design

Feel how thin and light MacBook Air is

• Close MacBook Air and point out the sleek design. Ask customers if they own a MacBook Air or other notebook and help them understand the differences.

• Have your customer hold MacBook Air. • Point out the versatile Thunderbolt 3 ports used for charging MacBook Air as well as

attaching accessories like displays and other USB-C devices.

Retina display

See crisp and clear text, and rich and vibrant images

• Open Mail or Safari and show the Retina display. • Point out how icons and text look like a printed page. Show details in photos

• Open Photos and point out how crisp the images look—even thumbnails. • Double-click a photo and highlight the detail. Use the arrow keys to page through

more images. • Point out that the display goes to the edge so it’s easier to focus on what’s on screen.

Speakers and microphones

Hear the more immersive stereo sound

• In iTunes, play a song or movie trailer full screen so your customers experience the wide, immersive sound.

• Point out the separation between the left and right sides, and how the sound feels like it’s coming right from the center.

• Let customers know that the speakers in MacBook Air have twice the bass and are 25 percent louder compared with the previous MacBook Air.

• Note the three-microphone array for better noise cancelling, and more accuracy for Siri and Dictation.

Keyboard

Experience comfortable and precise typing

• Open a Pages document and have your customer type a few sentences. • Mention the precision movement of the keys and the comfortable and

responsive feel. • Mention that the keyboard is backlit, so it’s easy to use in low light.

Force Touch trackpad

Feel the uniform response

• Explain that the entire trackpad is a button • Have customers click in different places and highlight that it feels the same, no

matter where they click. Force click for more information

• Open Safari and navigate to a web page. • Force click (click, then press deeper) on a word and get its definition. • Force click on an address and point out the Map preview.
