ManagementPhil Sutherland - President Phil co founded M-Rep, Inc. in 1986 through the merger of two successful representativecompanies. Phil’s ability to anticipate changes in the market have enabled M-Rep, Inc. to dramatically impact the sales and growth of M-Rep’s principals in this market. Phil hasbeen appointed as chairman of a number of Representative Councils that have been instrumental in guiding M-Rep’s Principals to increased sales and improved customer services for those companies world wide. A respected and much sought-after expert in hisfield, Phil has shared his industry knowledge as a speaker at dozens of conferences andseminars. Phil paved the way for M-Rep’s success by creating a company culture focusedon fostering excellence in the company’s technical sales staff and by using the latest in internet and other electronic communications technologies. Phil has been involved in electronic component sales in the Texas Quad States Area since 1972 and continues tolead, motivate and redefine M-Rep, Inc. as technologies, products, customers, and economic conditions change. Phil enjoys music, travel, camping, skiing, running and spending time with his family. He has been a life long electronic experimenter and hobbyist and worked as a ManufacturingEngineer at Texas Instruments in Richardson, Texas. He attended college in Texas at Texas Tech University and the University of North Texas where he majored in ElectricalEngineering and Production Management.

Compensation and Training All outside sales representatives receive commissions plus expenses on sales in their territories. In addition, sales territories remain stable to insure continued enthusiasm andincentive. The company encourages sales personnel to refine their technical knowledge atevery possible opportunity. We attend sales conferences and seminars throughout the country. We pay particular attention to those held at factory locations, since in-depth productknowledge is the cornerstone of our business. Monthly meetings to review accounts, products and market segments are key factors in our training and measurement program.

Tools Internal operations in our home sales office are designed to provide maximum support forfield sales. Our office staff maintains day-to-day liaison and follow-up with our Factorys'order entry and customer service departments and furnish our customers with immediateand dependable communications. They provide the sales staff with monthly, quarterly, andannual reports on sales by customer and principal utilizing a fully interactive software program that also projects our cash flow, calculates backlog, reconciles commissions.This report provides M-Rep, Inc.’s principals with a mail list database of more than 9000 customer contacts in the Texas four-state area. Recognizing that fast efficient communications with both customers and principals is critical to our success, M-Rep, Inc.employs the most modern communications equipment available with an adequate number of phone lines, FAX equipment, mobile phones, Internet E-Mail addresses, and digitalpagers. Every employee is provided a computer workstation linked to our extensive data base, and trained to utilize this equipment to its maximum potential.
