WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST AND CREW

Julia Alexander (Lulu) is a jun-

ior at MHS. She’s been involved

with musicals since middle school,

including Grease, Alice in Wonder-

land, Charlie and the Chocolate

Factory, and now Footloose. She

is a member of Women’s Chorale

and Concert Choir, and in middle

school she was involved in All-

County Chorus. Julia enjoys draw-

ing and writing, but her passion is

singing. She would like to thank

her friends, family, and boyfriend

for supporting her through rehears-

als and watching her perform.

James Cartwright (Ren) is a

senior at Middletown High

School. James is involved in many

music programs here at Mid-

dletown, including the Chamber

Singers, Men's Chorus, and Pipers.

James also appeared in last year’s

MHS Musical, playing the role of

Graffiti Pete in In The

Heights. James would like to

thank all the teacher directors,

dance instructors, the pit band, the

cast and crew, and his family

members for all the support and

hard work to put this show togeth-

er! CUT FOOTLOOSE!

Raymond Case (Bickle) is a grad-

uating senior who has taken part in

four musicals. He played the role

of Tobias Ragg in MHS’ Sweeney

Todd as a sophomore in

2013. This following year he was

cast as the Piragua Guy in MHS’

production of In The Heights, and

he toured Europe in a Godspell

production, in which he played the

role of John the Baptist/

Judas. Raymond plans on attend-

ing college and majoring in musi-

cal theater. He would like to thank

his family for supporting his

dreams and aspirations, as well as

Mr. Rau, Ms. Parise, and Mr.

Schofield for all their hard work

and patience in putting this musi-

cal together.

Nick Culmone (Travis) is a stu-

dent athlete who participates in

numerous vocal ensembles here at

MHS, including Chamber Singers,

Men’s Chorus, and Pipers, and he

trained with Sarah Rice and Carole

Demas at a vocal master class in

December. Along with vocal mu-

sic he also plays French Horn in

the MHS Wind Ensemble. Outside

of music, he has played Ice Hock-

ey for 13 years. He wishes to

thank his parents, his brother, and

his cousin Megan for all of the

support they provide in everything

he does.

Aaron Dranoff (Principal

Clark) is a junior at MHS, and this

is his first theater production here

at the high school. Aaron is a de-

voted member of the Men's Cho-

rus, Concert Choir, and Pipers, and

is excited to be playing the role of

Principal Clark in this production

of Footloose. Aaron would like to

thank Mr. Rau, Mr. Schofield, and

Ms. Parise for giving him this op-

portunity. He would also like to

thank all of his friends for their

continued support.

Godfrey Fenton (Williard) is

currently a senior at MHS. He’s

been involved in MHS’ theater

program since the beginning of

time… or freshman year. He has a

myriad of hobbies he uses to avoid

doing homework: dancing, writ-

ing, trying to sing, and making

music. Throughout the week, he

avoids sleeping by participating in

Pipers, Marching Band, NHS,

Senior Enrichment, and many oth-

er after-school obliga-

tions. Godfrey hopes you enjoy

the show because this will be his

last one in high school. He appre-

ciates his family, friends, and

teachers.

Christina Galarza (Ethel) is a

junior at MHS, and this is her third

year and third musical

here. Christina started her acting

in elementary school and contin-

ued it throughout the years of mid-

dle school and now high

school. She was recently accepted

into NYU’s summer program for

musical theater, and she plans to

pursue this discipline in col-

from the start. #Shelice

Jacie Gonzalez (Rusty) is a sen-

ior at MHS. She enjoys singing,

dancing, acting, and drawing. All

four years of her high school ca-

reer, she has been involved in both

fall productions as well as musi-

cals. She’s also involved in

Chamber Singers, Women’s Cho-

rale, Pipers, and a student run a

cappella group. This year, she has

the privilege of doing a wonderful

musical with a wonderful cast and

her closest friends. It’s bittersweet

to think about, but she has always

had fun. She thanks her family

and she thanks her squad.

Melanie Guerrero (Vi) is a 17

year old senior who has been per-

forming since the age of 5, starting

out in church and slowly partici-

pating in productions throughout

elementary school. Growing up,

she discovered her love for music,

acting, dancing, and singing. She'd

like to thank her friends, family,

and teachers for their encourage-

ment. Looking back at her fresh-

man year, she can say she's im-

proved a lot and has come very far.

(Especially since her first embar-

rassing moment on stage when she

forgot the lyrics to a song during

the talent show...then ran off)

Now, with the help of her peers,

she feels more confident than ever.

She will continue to go after what

she loves, because nothing makes

her happier. #ChickenNuggets

Samuel Johnson (Coach Dun-

bar) is a ninth grader at

MHS. Samuel appeared in many

productions at Twin Towers Mid-

dle School. You may have seen

him in their production of Seussi-

and honored to be directed by Mr.

Rau. He also gives thanks to Ms.

and everyone else who sculpted

day. Sam hopes you enjoy watch-

ing him and the rest of the cast you

are about to see in the Middletown

High School production of Foot-

loose.

Arielle Knapp (Wendy Jo) is a

senior at MHS. She is very anx-

ious to perform her last musical in

high school and is proud to say

that it is Footloose. Arielle has en-

joyed bringing Wendy Jo to life

and hopes you enjoy the spunky

character as much as she

does. Arielle’s passion has always

been musical theater and hopes to

one day have a career on Broad-

way. Next year she will be attend-

ing the American Musical and

Dramatic Academy in New York

City. Arielle would like to thank

her friends and family for support-

ing her, especially Mr. Rau for al-

ways giving the extra push and re-

minding her and her classmates

that no matter what, anything is

possible. It’s truly amazing how

much the words “you can do it…”

change everything. Enjoy the

show! #TheMixLivesOn

Shavon Lloyd (Shaw) is a senior

at MHS, where he is an active par-

ticipant in its music department.

He has participated in All-County

Choirs and Bands, as well as Area

All-State and All-State Choral Fes-

cently made history in the district

by initiating the very first student-

run and mixed a cappella group,

“The Middie C's.” Shavon previ-

ously appeared on the MHS stage

as Kevin in In the Heights, and

Ken in The Musical Comedy Mur-

ders of the 1940s. This fall,

Shavon will pursue a career in mu-

sic education at The Crane School

of Music at SUNY Potsdam. His

goal is to inspire young musicians

as much as his teachers have in-

spired him. He'd like to thank Mr.

in Middletown, including various

lead roles at Twin Towers Middle

experience as an actor and further

his career. He would like to thank

Mr. Rau, Ms. Parise, and Mr.

and for giving him the opportunity

and support to play this part. He

the play.

Brandon Pierre (Cowboy Bob;

Cop) is an aspiring actor who has

been in many musical and play

performances throughout his mid-

dle school and high school career.

While in London, England, he was

coached by Peter Skylar. Brandon

has had an amazing time with all

of the cast and crew and can’t wait

for another opportunity to perform

with people he considers family.

Christina Polichetti (Irene) is

a senior here at MHS and is both

excited and sad for her last high

school musical. Some of her favor-

ite school productions are

Sweeney Todd, The Musical Come-

dy Murders of 1940 (Elsa Von

Grossenkneuten), In the Heights,

and Murder Me Always (cab driv-

er)—the play that started her high

school journey in drama club.

She’d like to thank Mr. Rau, Ms.

Parise, and Mr. Schofield for al-

lowing her to be part of this pro-

duction. Thank you to her mom,

while doing these shows; they are

junior at MHS. This is Ian's 4th

musical production in the Mid-

dletown schools. In 6th grade he

played Eugene in Grease, in grade

8th he played Grandpa Joe in Wil-

ly Wonka, and in 10th he was part

of the ensemble for In The

Heights. Ian sings in Men's Cho-

rus and Pipers, and plays bass in

the MHS Jazz Band and Percus-

sion Ensemble. He is hoping to

continue performing after high

school. Ian is excited to be playing

the character Wes Warnicker. He

would like to thank his friends and

family for keepin' it real, and Mr.

Rau, Mr. Schofield, and Ms. Parise

for giving him this opportunity

and for their hard work making

this production come to life.

Justin Ruiz (Jeter) is a junior at

MHS. This is his third production

as a high school student, though he

has been cast in numerous produc-

tions outside of high school, such

as Beauty and the Beast Jr. Justin

has had the opportunity to perform

in great musical halls such as Car-

negie Hall, Madison Square Gar-

den, and also the world famous

Apollo Theater. As a young child,

Justin always liked to perform, and

he is very excited to be a part of

this great cast! He would like to

thank his parents and Mr. Rau for

always pushing him to do bet-

ter. Enjoy the show!

Amber Sanchez (Eleanor) is cur-

preciative to be apart of this year’s

musical Footloose playing the part

of Ariel. She is currently in Pipers

and Chamber Singers. She played

Vanessa in last year’s musical In

The Heights and had the most

amazing experience. She is very

thankful to her peers, directors and

family members who have sup-

ported her from the beginning and

have remained constant. She hopes

you like the show and have a won-

derful time.

Raelyn Santiago (Urleen) is an

MHS senior who loves musical

theater. She has been performing

since the age of three and has ap-

peared in numerous productions,

including an off Broadway pro-

duction of High School Musi-

cal. After high school, Raelyn will

continue her musical theater train-

ing at the prestigious American

New York City, and she hopes to

one day star in a Broadway

show. Raelyn would like to thank

her family and friends for their

support.

School. His years in high school

are coming to an end, but the

few dance and music classes,

which he loves to be a part of. He

has also done several musical pro-

ductions including Willy Wonka

and the Chocolate Factory as Wil-

ly Wonka and In the Heights as

part of the ensemble. His drive for

performing song and dance on the

stage is for the invigorating expe-

rience as well as providing enter-

tainment for others. He has found

much enjoyment throughout the

years dancing and singing, and

wishes to continue enjoying those
