COURSE OVERVIEWThis course is designed for Industrial professionalsto have a thorough understanding of Bearings andlubrication in Industrial Plant environment. Uponcompletion, audience will be able to evaluate andselect appropriate lubricants for a wide variety ofbearing applications. For greased applications, thisincludes choosing an appropriate grease base, stiff-ness, base oil and additives, if needed, for proper
operation. The audience will be able to analyzethe failures associated with design and operationalissues of Bearings and Lubricants and also trouble-shoot common lubrication problems and recom-mend corrective actions. A detailed understandingof bearing applications and Industrial lubricationapplications with operational understanding will bedelievered.
The overall course objective is to provide pertinentinformation to improve the performance of rotating
equipment and bearings through effective lubrica-tion programs, focus on reliability improvement ofthese important elements as integrated with Lubri-cation system in plant equipment. The conditionmonitoring, Failure analysis and techniques will becovered in detailed and help understand the effec-tiveness of Maintenance program. Modern six SigmaAnalysis tools for failure analysis, predictions will bedelivered.
