Although live streaming is an up and coming broadcast tech-nology whose product seems complex, after acquiring the proper equipment described on the last two pages, the set-up is shockingly simple if one follows the next four steps. Step one: use a High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) cable to connect the broadcast camera to the H2S converter. Step two: use a Serial Digital Interface (SDI) cable to connect

the converter to the Analytical Transmission Electron Micros-copy (ATEM) Production Studio switch. Step three: use two HDMI or SDI cables to connect the ATEM switch to a laptop to easily control the multiview display and to the Vidiu. Step four: connect the Vidiu to the Internet using either the WiFi or an Ethernet cable and acti-vate the live stream using the Vidiu mobile application which is simple to use: click here.

Live streaming has been around since the ear-

ly 90s, dating back to providers like ReaNnetworks, Apple TV and Roku. However, with the advent of the mobile phone revolution, nowadays users can more eas-ily act as content creators and broadcasters. It’s imperative that marketers understand this digital time gap to decide if they can provide useful applications of the “streaming” concept. Even though streaming was

once an expensive endeavor, it has become one of the most efficient and inexpensive ways to send out information. Using a streaming service platform is the best way to get professional quality broadcasts. And people don’t have to look far to find a professional streaming service that is cost friendly and loaded with unique features. The biggest impact of live streaming comes from it’s boost in audience en-gagement. Whether one is live streaming a tutorial, webinar, or hobby, the exchange between

the indiviudal and his viewers will be most important. Many suc-cessful startups have based their business on streaming media. For businesses, the spread of information needs to synced. When a company runs an event or hosts its training, it’s crucial that there is consistency in the in-formation being delivered. A live broadcast gives companies the opportunity to ask and answer questions, and converse with it’s audience. Something that doesn’t happen through videos On De-mand.

WHY

Google plus Meerkat YouNow LogoThis platform combines gamifica-

tion with broadcasting and is aimed at teens: includes a leveling system where users are awarded privileges for content creation and participa-

tion.

Introduced in 2011, Google Hangouts On Air allows for up to eight people to simultaneously broadcast through

Youtube and record the stream.

Released in March of 2015 with streams straight to Twitter, this is a direct competitor of Twitter’s prod-

uct, Periscope.

Live-streaming capabilities rep-resent the pinnacle for digital media delivery. Live-streaming is the realization of a dynamic medium for individual audience viewership. Technological inno-vations have taken a formerly static market and transformed it into an environment solely focused on the audience and the content. These innovative processes have further transi-tioned the digital media market to near instantaneous, web-based delivery, with a focus on speed, clarity, and ease of ac-cess. The future of live-stream-ing technology and capabilities is contingent upon continued innovation, creativity, and consumer uptake. Specifical-ly, focus is increasingly placed on decreasing production and streaming costs, and moving towards an increased synchro-nization and universalization with audience and user tech-nology.
