    3) Whats New to Turbo Tax 2015?

Real Estate Mortgage Investment Conduit (REMIC) & Widely Held Fixed Investment Trust Information (WHFIT)

With the recent integration of our REMIC and WHFIT information on the 1099-Consolidated form, applicable interest and original issue discount income from those securities will now be included in the 1099-INT and 1099-OID and supported on Turbo Tax. It is important, however, to reference the hard copy of the REMIC & Widely Held Fixed Investment Trust portion of your 1099 in order to include any other necessary information with your filing.

    4) FAQ

Q: I have multiple accounts with LPL/AXA; will all tax forms be selected after putting in my username and password in the Sign on to LPL Financial/AXA Advisors, LLC page? Yes, all available tax forms would be selected for all your accounts under one affiliate.

Q: How can I download my tax data to Turbo Tax? You will need to have an active Account View profile to upload your tax data into Turbo Tax. Forms will be available for download once all of the forms for your account(s) are available. We recommend you wait to download your tax forms until you have received your tax statements in the mail to compare the data and ensure the Turbo Tax download is complete and accurate.

Q: Will I be able to import the cost basis information from the Realized Gains and Losses statement from BranchNet into Turbo Tax? No, but the cost basis will be automatically imported from the 1099-B form. You should refer to your mailed hard-copy statements for accuracy.

Q: I have foreign tax withheld on my 1099DIV and TurboTax is asking me how much are Foreign Dividends Received. What should I put in? This will require you to review the hard copy mailed to you. The 1099DIV detail section is grouped by Security, so you will be able to see which CUSIPs had TAX AT SOURCE for 1099DIV Box 6 (foreign tax). There will also be a country designation to the right in the CTRY column for any foreign securities. The sum of the subtotals for each foreign security net of foreign tax is the total Foreign Dividends Received.

Q: I have some expired options and option sale transactions in 2015. They are reported on my 1099Consolidated statement. Will I see those items in Turbo Tax? Yes, these transactions should be reported on your IRS Form 8949 (Box C) and Schedule D.

Q: Which tax forms can I import in Turbo Tax? 1099B, Proceeds From Broker and Barter Exchange Transactions 1099DIV, Dividends and Distributions 1099INT, Interest Income 1099OID, Original Issue Discount 1099MISC, Miscellaneous Income 1099R, Distributions from Pensions, Annuities, Retirement or Profit

Sharing Plans, IRAs, Insurance Contracts, etc. Please note that tax statements, such as 1099Q, not listed above are currently unavailable for import in TurboTax, you will need to manually input these items into TurboTax. Make sure you compare and verify all imported data against all tax statements you receive in the mail from LPL Financial/AXA Advisors.

Q: What should I do if I receive a Corrected tax statement? You can remove previously imported data and then reimport all tax data, or you may manually adjust your TurboTax return according to the corrected tax statements you received in the mail. Please make sure you carefully review and verify all data against the mailed copy of the tax statements you receive. To reimport data click the File menu, select Remove Imported Data, select the appropriate account number and click Remove All. Then you can reimport the corrected tax information.

Q: Why arent my cash settled options showing with the original proceeds and basis? Cash settled options contracts are now included on form 1099B. If the closing transaction, including expiration, is for a written option, the requirements for reporting are different than a traditional sale or even closing of short sale. For these transactions, the reported proceeds are the net of the proceeds received at opening and the cost to close. Cost basis on these transactions are reported as zero on form 1099B.
