Redetermination Process

To ensure continuity of care, San Diego County Eligibility Operations have automatically extended all current LIHP enrollee

certifications through December 31, 2013.

Notices are being mailed giving LIHP enrollees general information about the move to Medi-Cal.

No action is required at this time.

As part of the Affordable Care Act (ACA),

LIHP will transition to Medi-Cal on January 1, 2014.

•  The automatic extensions took place over the weekend of October 12th-13th.

•  The Provider Online Verification (POV) site will reflect these eligibility changes on Monday, October 14th.

•  Therefore, no action is required for enrollees who are due for recertification in the months of October, November, and December.

•  If an application has already been sent, the County will review for any changes and notate the receipt of the application in the AuthMed system.

•  No LIHP enrollees have been discontinued in the month of October due to a lack of recertification.
