The Frauenfeld-Wil railway has been offering extra comfort since 2013

with five new articulated trains. Customer benefits were significantly

increased with the 1st Class compartment, an air-conditioning unit and

ground-level access. The wide inter-carriage connections help improve

the sense of space and increase the feeling of safety. A total of 133 seats

are available to passengers, 12 of which are in the 1st Class compartment.

The trains are designed for a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour.

The Frauenfeld-Wil railway introduced trains every quarter of an hour

between Wil and Wängi during peak periods at the turn of the year in

2013/2014. Various modernization measures were also made to the

infrastructure.
