From Broadway actress to successful real-estate broker, Cynthia Besteman thrived in the cutthroat culture of New York City. But in 2011, a diagnosis of breast cancer brought her career to a skidding halt.
While undergoing treatment, she became aware of the inextricable link between lifestyle and disease. She was shocked by the mislabeling of many skincare and beauty products that were classified as “natural” while containing parabens, sulfates, and other chemicals known to work as endocrine disruptors linked to cancer. After tossing out all beauty products containing unsafe chemicals, she dove into the world of natural skincare, learning everything she
could about essential oils and natural ingredients that work effectively to nourish, cleanse, and hydrate without harm. Cynthia used her newfound knowledge to formulate products to help keep her skin healthy and protected from the harsh effects of radiation.
Cynthia’s friends, family and fellow cancer patients saw that her skin not only stayed healthy but thrived during treatment. This inspired Cynthia to launch Violets Are Blue in 2015, a company that supports women by donating 10% of proceeds towards skincare for cancer patients.

Finally, an unscented, vegan, Baking Soda/Aluminum/Alcohol/Paraben - free deodorant that works. With a blend of organic oils as its base, this deodorant and antiperspirant features Magnesium as its star ingredient, due to its proven ability to safely absorb the undesired odor of sweat. Arrow Root controls dampness without leaving a trace of residue on clothes. Please note, if you’re switching from “Aluminum” based deodorants, there will be a detox period of approximately 2 weeks. We recommend a “step down” detox regimen, rotating this deodorant with your conventional one every other day for a few days. This is the roll-on non-Aluminum deodorant everyone has

Anti-perspirants contain Aluminum, which has been linked not only to
Breast Cancer but to Alzheimer’s disease. If you are making the
