Anointing - If a hospital stay or surgical procedure is scheduled, please call to schedule the celebration of the Sacrament.
There was a wedding at Cana in Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
Jesus and his disciples were also invited to the wedding.
When the wine ran short, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.”
And Jesus said to her, “Woman, how does your concern affect me?
My hour has not yet come.”
His mother said to the servers, “Do whatever he tells you.”
Now there were six stone water jars there for Jewish ceremonial washings,
each holding twenty to thirty gallons.
Jesus told them, “Fill the jars with water.” So they filled them to the brim.
Then he told them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.”
So they took it. And when the headwaiter tasted the water that had become
wine, without knowing where it came from - although the servers who had
drawn the water knew - the headwaiter called the bridegroom and said to him,
“Everyone serves good wine first, and then when people have drunk freely, an
inferior one; but you have kept the good wine until now.”
Jesus did this as the beginning of his signs at Cana in Galilee
and so revealed his glory, and his disciples began to believe in him. Jn 2:1-11

Knight’s of Columbus Winter Rummage Sale: Please hang on to items or call Tom LeFaive 280-7865 or George Welk 220-0426 and they will pick up items and store them for the sale. You are also able to consign items at this
sale. No item too big or small!
The Knights of Columbus serve in many ways. High School Seniors of our
parish are eligible for scholarships. Applications will be available Feb. 7th.

Governor’s Prayer Breakfast is Friday, January 22nd, 6:30 am at the Ramkota. It is held each year near the beginning of the SD legislative session to seek God’s guidance for all leaders and citizens of our state. Doug Burleigh will be the speaker. He has worked in Young Life, Billy Graham Association and Leadership Development Foundation. Youth Ministry is his passion. If you would like to join us at the parish table please let Father Ron or Patty Lihs 295-1392 if you would like to attend as a parish group by Tuesday, January 19th.
Julie Hand, Chris Fosheim, Heather Fischer and Nicole Knuppe are in RCIA. Please keep them in prayer.
A focused time of prayer, penance, and pilgrimage set aside to mark the anniversary of Roe v Wade, which legalized procured abortion during all 9 months of pregnancy. It starts Saturday, January 16, concludes next Sunday the 24th, with the 12.30pm walk around the State Capitol building, and 2pm Hour of Reflection in the Rotunda.

On January 9th, 2106, in the Little Rock AR Cathedral, Deacon Marcelino Luna challenged the congregation to not only reflect on the life and work of King, but to continue his work in their parishes and communities. “Dr. Martin Luther King had a dream for all people to be treated equally, and he fought for that dream. He knew what was unjust and he wanted to do something about it … what about you and me?” he said. “We can comfort God’s people; we can have the courage to stand up for what is right for all nations and all people whether they are African-Americans or Hispanics or any other nationality.”
Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., wrote an open letter to President Barack Obama this week, asking him to end abortion violence against unborn children. "Sir, you recently tweeted: “If there’s even one thing we can do, if there’s just one life we can save—we’ve got an obligation to try.” Your appeal seemed to be directed at gun control. Yet, the one life chord is vibrating on a frequency that embraces not just victims of gun violence, but even reaching the innocent lives in the womb. Many people often try to marginalize the sanctity of life voice. Yet, I would appeal to you to consider that death by forceps or bullets is death all the same … Violence can take many forms. Gun violence is one of those forms. Knife violence is another. Fist violence another; and word violence too. Bomb violence is another. And abortion violence is yet another. As you spoke and began to tear up, I could see the compassion you have for those who are senselessly killed by guns. I believe that many Americans feel the same way you do, not only for gun violence but for any type of violence. Americans mourned the lives lost to the Boston bombers. We mourned those killed at the twin towers on 9/11. … As you may know, I am a pro-life activist. I am concerned about all human lives. I write to you today because, like you and so many other Americans, I am concerned about the growing violence in America. But I am also concerned over the millions of lives lost to the violence of abortion."
