Love God, Love Others, Reach The World For Christ
There is a story of a mother who wrote the name of her son on his birth certificate as
Nosmo King. Someone asked the mother where she came up with that name
because it was so unusual. As it turned out the mother was illiterate and the only thing
she saw in the room was a sign that said, “No Smoking. She wrote the letters down as
Nosmo King.
In the world’s eyes that illiterate woman was no one —a person without much oppor-
tunity and without the ability to be more than she already is—a person insignificant in
this world. However, in God’s eyes that is just the kind of person that He is likely to
save—insignificant and without hope. That is the power and the foolishness of the
Gospel.
In 1Cor. 1:26-30 Paul writes, “For consider you calling, brethren, that there were not
many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble; but God has
chosen the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen the
weak things of the world to shame the things which are strong, and the base things of
the world and the despised God has chosen, the things that are not, so that He may
nullify the things that are so that no man may boast before God. But by His doing you
are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and
sanctification, and redemption…”
As we continue to pray for and seek One remember that opportunities can be found
in unsuspecting places and with people we would never consider. As we impact our
community for Jesus, be open to all who are around us. Who knows we may even be
fortunate enough to meet someone named Nosmo King.

Easy Ways to Help Heritage
There are 2 easy ways that you can help Heritage Preschool. You can bring your empty ink
cartridges from your printer and place them in the basket in the Fellowship Hall. Dana
Roepke will turn these in to Office Depot. Also, whenever you purchase anything at Office
Depot, you can give them Dana Roepke’s home phone number, 687-3726. Credit from
your purchases and from the ink cartridges that are turned in will be put on a reward card
for Heritage to use for purchasing items.
Please faithfully remember your Faith Promise contributions and
continue to pray for our Missionaries:
Midland Soup Kitchen - Armando Alvarado (full support missionary) - Dallas Christian College Colegio Biblico - Guadalupe Christian Camp - Gary & Coby Scott - Turkey

the bags for people to take home bread
and bakery goods that have been donated
by H.E.B. They run out of bags every month
before we deliver them on the 1st. Our
monthly supply has been very lean over the
past several months. Please put your bags in
the plastic container in the fellowship hall.
