What is Lotus Notes?

• Lotus Notes is the client side of a client–server, collaborative application by IBM.

• It is an integrated desktop client option for accessing business e-mail, calendars, databases and applications on an IBM Lotus Domino server.

Lotus Notes ID?

• For a user to be able to work with Lotus Notes, a dedicated ID file has to be generated for him/her, on the basis of which Lotus Notes will recognize the user and regulate his/her access rights to data, email, etc. on the server.
