1. Lost Property Evaluation Activity 7 | Looking back at ourpreliminary task what have we learnt from the progression from that to full product 2. Preliminary taskIn our preliminary task we followed extremely basic conventions to geta really short and simple story across using the knowledge we had. Weused things like establishing shots to make use of our setting. Close upsto show a change in emotion and match on action shots/shot reverseshots to show conversation. We also kept to continuity and made surethat we didnt break the 180 degree rule. The whole thing was edited using windows live movie maker just tosimply cut all of our shots together. We didnt use any effects e.g. fadesor visual effects 3. Lost PropertyWith Lost property we wanted to keep the conventions that we used in our preliminary task but focuson the ones that worked the best. At some stages in our opening we used the 180 degree rule andtried our best not to break it. We focussed a lot more on still close ups this time rather than shotreverse shots due to there being no form of conversation. With editing this time round rather than using windows live movie maker we used adobe premier. Thisin turn allowed us to be more creative with the types of editing techniques we could use. We didthings like lighted and darken certain shots to make them more atmospheric fitting the tone wewanted to create. We slowed some shots down to build tension and this time round we had a largerchoice of font styles we were able to use. With that being said we still went with a simple but uniquefont type. This time round we were able to use music for our opening titles. We used a song called ProbabilityTree by an artist named bluetech. We felt like the style of music fit our genre of film perfectly withthe song being quite slow and elegant but also tension building at the same time. We tried our bestto edit the music in time to match the opening. This is something that could not have been done onwindows live movie maker.
