When I think of summer, I think of shorts, tank tops, and flips flops. When I think of winter, I think of toques, gloves, parkas, and boots. Why is it, then, that some peo-ple decide to mix and match, all in the name of fashion? I was inspired to write this essay because I once saw a girl, on a very cold day in fall, wearing flip flops. I began to think, “What is the point of freezing just to be appealing?” I think I’ll start with the top of the body, describing different views of why those areas should be covered in winter. I will write about the head, the hands, the torso, and the feet.

Many people are very conscious of how their hair looks. Many people also suffer from getting electrically charged hair during the winter because of the dry air. Toques are also usually made out of wool, which does not help at all. It is incredibly annoying to take off your toque only to find that your hair looks like you’ve just been touching a Van de Graaff generator. Some may wonder what the point of ru-ining your chic hairstyle is. Well, you may get chilled or hypothermia. Would you put yourself at risk just to have a good hair day?

FASHIONPNUANS are in style!Fashion (n) - a popular trend, esp. in styles of dress and ornament or manners of behavior.

“his hair is cut in the latest fashion”

synonyms: vogue, trend, craze, rage, mania, fad;

3

Some people like to be proud of the state of the skin on their hands. They moisturize daily with only the best lo-tion; they get manicures (men too!) to make their nails look the best they can be; and they could possibly pluck the hair from their fingers so they can have even nicer looking hands (some people are a tad odd…). If we spend a lot of time and money on our looks, then shouldn’t we want to show them off? When it comes to wearing gloves, many people just don’t want to wear them.

More and more people begin to slowly disrobe them-selves from their turtle – necks and heavy jackets and finally put on those comfortable flip flops and slip back into the long missed shorts and t – shirts that had been kept in the dresser all season long. That’s not to say that the winter trends are anything but stylish. The shoes have gone to cute and cozy to sweet and sexy; the heels higher and the dresses shorter.

PNUANS IN THEIRCASUAL WEAR

Comfort over Fashion

Although many person do not care and pay atten-tion to their clothes and they select or wear whatev-er they find. I believe, clothing can affect individuals in many ways. In this essay I will enumerate some reasons for how one’s clothing garments can affect person.

First, wearing costumes according to occasion can make difference in individual’s attitude or behavior. For example, formal dress at job interview can im-prove their self confidence. In the same way party

wear into wedding party can give feelings of happi-ness or in non formal or casual clothes person can feel more comfortable and relax. So, I believe it is very necessary to decide clothes according to the circumstances or situations to avoid anxiety and uncomfortable .

Finally, wearing apparel can describe your internal beauty or inner personality. It means your outer im-pression will be more helpful for others to decide your qualities and character.

FORMALWEAR

This category is people that wear formal dress which is consider to be professional wear. This gar-ment is general term for clothing suitable for for-mal social occasions like wedding ceremony and as a work attire.

For a government staff sector, it is more polite for them to wear suits, trousers, belts, shirts with a tie and shoes for the men and ‘Baju Melayu’ on Friday for those are Muslims while for a women, they wear ‘Baju Kurung’.

All of these clothes are also suitable to be worn by university students when they attend to their class-es. In formal occasions, usually the men will wear tuxedoes and for the women, they will wear a silk dress like gown.

41

The continual relaxation of formal dress standards since the end of the Second World War is redefin-ing what clothes constitute formal and semi-for-mal dress.[citation needed] The original term full dress was used in the 19th century and the early 20th century to mean the most formal option avail-able, while half dress and undress ranked beneath it. They indicated different clothes, but correspond somewhat to the 21st-century structure of formal, semi-formal, and informal. These are the terms used by traditional etiquette and dress consultants (es-pecially for weddings), while contemporary con-sultants use looser, modern definitions, in which white tie is styled as most formal, very formal or ul-

tra formal; black tie as formal; and the traditionally informal lounge suit as pseudo-formal. Moreover, modern advisers recommend black tie for events traditionally considered to require formal dress (white tie), and alternatives for what would have been semi-formal events.

However, formal and semi-formal are unambiguous when it is known they are being used in a traditional setting, even though changing fashions can make these terms ambiguous; white tie and black tie on the other hand refer solely to the combination of relevant clothes themselves, regardless of their set-ting, and so are much less susceptible to misinter-pretation.dress codes themselves, with full formal dress (white tie or morning dress) almost unheard of in many places.
