ABOUT TODD WHARTON: Todd Wharton grew up first in Queens and then in East Meadow on Long

Island, NY. He went to Woodland Middle School followed by East Meadow High School. He spent much of his

youth playing basketball and could often be found at Veterans Memorial Park (aka Prospect Park) playing in

pickup games. In fact, he was one of the top youth basketball players throughout his teenage years.

While he did go to college, it wasn’t really for him. “I was always more of a doer when it was on my terms. I’ve

always leaned towards being creative and thinking outside the box so assignments and homework were just not

for me.”

Instead, Todd’s life became more focused on making a living and for the past 20 years this native New Yorker

has worked in a variety of positions in real estate and mortgage lending, as well as management and head-

serving positions in numerous restaurants. That gave him the opportunity to meet many up-and-coming artists

and burgeoning superstars, which ultimately was how Local Talent Connect was born.

One theme that has always been a part of Todd’s philosophy is that no matter what you do, you need to put

your whole heart and soul into it.

“One thing about me has always been that once I commit to something on my own terms, I finish it. My work

ethic stems from my drive and my belief that I can do anything!”

To that end, Todd has incorporated his knowledge, experience and connections from is “day job” into LTC, as

his goal is to continue to make Local Talent Connect the place where artists from all walks of life and from

around the world can make connections.

"It's A Red Carpet World & You Deserve To Walk It"

WHY: Over his years of working in other industries founder Todd Wharton bonded with fellow employees; many

were aspiring artists. In time, he noted what he calls the “downfall of passion” in them.

"Artists have an amazing drive for their passion, but watching that passion slowly erode in their eyes has always

bothered me. I saw them consistently getting lost or caught up in the game of struggling to get by: connecting

with the right people, going to the right seminars, attending the right shows, floating resumes all over town,

going to every casting call possible, as well as demo gigs, practices, dress rehearsals, meetings, on top of

supporting themselves with paying jobs, paying bills and so on. It gets pretty drowning.” Many of his friends

gave up, so he decided to do something about it and that was the birth of LTC.

"My Passion Is To Help Others Find Theirs"
