They are currently producing 2,000 meals per day for the region as well as distributing cleanup supplies and bottled water. Some of the recent activities are listed below. Contact them if you would like more details or want to cover any aspect of their effort. The Rosary is a traditional Catholic devotion. Tlie term, "Rosary," denotes the prayer beads used to count the series of prayers that make up the devotion. The prayers consist of praying "The Lord's Prayer," followed by praying the "Hail Mary" 10 times and the praying of "Glory Be to the Father." The pray- ing of each decade is accompanied by a meditation recalling an event in the life o,"Jesus Christ. On each of the five Monday evenings of the month, a Rosary service will be conducted at 7 p.m. in the church. William Brooke Ostrander, 64, music educator at Missisquoi Val- ley Union High School, VT for 26 years, passed away September 3. 2011, in Swanton, VT surrounded by loving family. Brooke was born on December 18, 1946, the son of William V. and Murrill B. (Mickey) Ostrander of Roselle Park, NJ where he and grew up and graduated from RPHS in 1964. Brooke's life was an unending passion for music, participating in many ensembles, All-State bands, and award winning drum and bugle corps in NYC. He received his BA and MA degrees (Magnu Cum Laude) in Music Theory and Com- position from Emporia State Uni- versity in KS. Fie created music with his rock and roll band Wicked Lester (the pre-'KISS' band) and worked as a studio musician at Electric Ladyland Studio with recording artists like Steven Stills. He taught in Linden, NJ and spent 10 years in Browning, MT where he developed a music program for the Blackfeet Indian Tribe. Brooke is survived by his wife Carol Ann, his daughter Katy (and husband Reid), his son Jordan (and wife Alexis), his sister Cathi Swan- son of Macomb, IL, and his brother Bnice Oslrander of Sackets Harbor, NY. Edna M. Valitutto Edna Mary Valitutto- Pinehurst, NC, age 81, a native of New Jersey, entered the Gates of Heaven on Saturday, September 3, 2011. Born on December 16, 1929 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Triano and Edna Reiger Triano. She was a lov- ing and devoted wife, mother of six, "Nanny", sister and friend. In addition to her family, Edna's pas- sions included cooking and shop- ping, and she was known for the many wonderful meals she pre- pared for family, friends and neigh- bors. She had a loving generous spirit and shared that with everyone she knew. Edna also loved the beach and enjoyed many trips with her family and children to the New Jersey Coast. She was a devout Catholic and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pinehurst. She is survived by five daughters, Valerie Taccogna and husband Ronald of Iselin, NJ; Gloria Fulton and husband Bob of Wall, NJ; Patty Klalo and husband Alex of Whis- pering Pines, NC; Peggy Ramirez and husband Bob of Kenilworth.
