Sport at Newman – a student-centred experienceNewman University, UK, offers a wide range of degree courses in Sport from Sports Science and Sports Studies to Sports Management and Sport and Exercise Psychology.
At Newman you will be taught by expert academic staff at the cutting-edge of their discipline.
Academic staff have been involved in a range of high profile activities, from developing national sports policy to coaching elite athletes (including world champions) in many different sports. We also have good relationships with Birmingham’s Premiership football clubs.
Undertaking a sports degree at Newman enables you to develop the knowledge and skills required for a career at the forefront of sports related professions. You will examine the practical, professional and scientific factors that influence sports and exercise performance and participation.
You will be able to relate your own performance in sport to that of participants at all levels from beginners to elite athletes. Graduates move into a range of careers such as Sports Management, Sports Development, Sports Marketing, Sports Coaching and Sports Psychology.
