    THE GIN COLLECTION

Gin is England’s national spirit and there are few things more English than a refreshing gin & tonic. Most of the most famous gins you see around the world hail from the UK, so it is forgivable to think that the spirit first came from here. The English actually discovered gin when they were fighting the Thirty Years’ War in the 17th century in Holland and saw Dutch soldiers drinking Jenever to boost morale before heading into battle. The term “Dutch Courage” was born, and the English brought the idea of making and drinking gin back with them.

Beefeater & Lemon 25ml/50ml 5.5/9 GINteresting - A British classic, Beefeater is a traditional and iconic gin that has been a stalwart of the UK gin market for over a century. Its taste is dominated by citrus and coriander. Recommended tonic – Double Dutch – 2.7

Bombay Sapphire & Lime 6.5/10 GINteresting - A distinguished gin, originating from British India, this brand originally wanted to be truly different from London Dry Gins, hence the name and the colour. It comes with a beautiful, slightly sweet and citrusy flavour. Recommended tonic – Double Dutch Pomegranate and Basil – 2.7

Hendrick`s & Cucumber 7.2/12 GINteresting - The most popular craft gin, served of course, with cucumber, comes with a floral and citrusy taste. Recommended tonic – Double Dutch Cucumber & Watermelon – 2.7

Botanist & Mint 7.7/13 GINteresting - The Botanist Gin is a progress ive explorat ion of the botanica l heri tage of our Is le of Islay . Contains 22 handpicked botanica ls , i t i s very f loral and herbal tast ing gin. Recommended tonic – 1724 – 3.2

Monkey 47 & Rosemary 7.7/13 GINteresting - Distilled in Schwarzwald, Germany, the name refers to the 47 botanicals used and the 47% ABV. The `Monkey` is a reference to `The Wild Monkey` guesthouse where the original version of this gin was first served. Recommended tonic – Double Dutch – 2.7

Tanqueray No. 10 & Lemon and Mint 7.7/13 GINteresting - A delicate, crisp gin that comes with hints of spice and grapefruit following a double distillation Recommended tonic – Double Dutch Original Slim – 2.7

    A F TE RNO ON TE A

Afternoon tea is a British institution. It originates from Anna, the 7 t h Duchess of Bedford, who had a ‘sinking feeling’ in the afternoon and felt the urgent need of having a pot of tea and a light snack. By inviting her friends later on, she created a legacy that symbolizes friends sharing a meal, relaxation, stories and of course, the love of tea. Experience this concept as it brings together tradition and contemporary design at Amy’s bar.
