Subject: Release of scholarship amount to Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore under theCentral Sector Scholarship Scheme of National Fellowship and Scholarship for HigherEducation for ST Students for the year 2018- l9 (Renewal Online) during the year 201 8-19.

Sir,I am directed to refer to convey the sanction of the President of India for releasing

recurring and non-recurring scholarship amount oft51,00,000i- fRupees Fifty One LakhOnly) to Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore under the Central Sector ScholarshipScheme of National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education for ST Students as perdetails given in Annexure for the year 2018-19 (Renewal Online) during the year 2018-19,subject to the following terms and conditions:

(i) No UC is due for rendition. The scholarship for subsequent financial year will bereleased only after utilization certificate in the prescribed format in respect of grant ofpreceding financial year is submitted by the Institute to the satisfaction of this Ministry.

(iD The Institute shall not pbtain grant for the same purpose or activity from any otherMinistr; ur Department cf Governfiient of {ndia or Stats Covernment.

(iii) The Institute shall not divert the funds released under the scheme to another Instituteor institution for implementation ef scheme. No funds out of this grant shall be utilized for anynew scheme for which prior approval of Government has not been obtained.

(iv) The Institute shall make reservations for SCs/STs/OBCs and the Disabled in the postsor services under its control for the implementation of scheme on the lines indicated by theCovernment of India.

(v) The Institute shall furnish to this Ministry progress report (Performance-cum-achievement report) of students indicating both physical and financial achievement under thescheme.

(vi) The accounts of the Institute shall be open to inspection by the sanctioning authorityby the Internal Audit Wing of Office of Chief Controller of Accounts of this Ministry andComptroller and Auditor General of India under Section 14 of the C&AG of India(Duties,Powers and Condition of Service) Act, 1971and law of PRAO GIRD) New Delhi, wheneverthe lnstitute is called upon to do so.

(vii) If the Government is not satisfied with the progress or considers that the conditions ofsanction are being violated, it reserves the right to terminate the sanctioned scheme or debarthe Institute from future grant or any other financial assistance from the Government.

(viii) It is further certified that scholarship amount to the grantee is sanctioned in accordancer,vith pattern of financial assistance approved and is in conformity with the rules and principlesof the scheme as approved by the Ministry and provisions of General Financial Rules asamended from time to time.

(ix) The accounts of all grantee Institutions/organizations shall be open to inspection bythe sanctioning authority and audic, both by the Comptroller and Auditor-General of Indiaunder the provision of CAG (DPC) Act 1971and internal audit by the Principal Accounts
