LMS - LEAVE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM USER MANUAL
System Overview
The LMS or Leave Management System is a system that can manage your employees leave.
You have the functionality to capture employees on the system. Maintain leave categories like
annual leave, bonus leave, sick leave etc. You can the allocate these leave types to the employees
that have been captured.
Public holidays can also be captured on the system. These will not be included if they fall into the
period of leave that an employee requests.
An employee will be able to login and submit a leave request, that will then workflow to HR or their
manager to be approved. HR or their manager can view a worklist of all pending leave requests and
action the request by approving or declining the request. The employee will also be able to see a
worklist of all leave requests that have been submitted.
There is also a leave reporting menu, whereby the employee can view of their leave reports. HR or
management would be able to view the reports for all employees. The admin user has the ability to
create, edit and delete all master data on the system.
There is also the ability to load all HR documentation like employee contracts, policies and
procedures, Hr documentation to the system if so required.

Logging In as a User
To access this user manual click on the “Learn more” button
Login
To login to the system as a user use the below details
Email – [email protected]
Password – user
Once you have entered the email and password click on the login button.
You are now on the User landing page. You have logged in as an Employee that would be able to
request leave and view all data relevant that employee

This will bring you back to the landing page.
Leave Worklist
This worklist shows all your leave rewuests and their status
Master Data
This has a dropdown with 2 options.
Leave Categories - This shows you the leave categories that are available
Holidays – This shows the public holidays that have been loaded

Here you can view all the employees details like emails etc
Leave allocation
Here you can view the leave that has been allocated to you
Leave Request
Here you can submit a request for leave. You can choose the leave category and date range for your
leave request.
Leave Reporting
Here there are multiple leave reports where you can view leave allocated, leave requested, Leave
allocated VS leave requested and remaining leave balances. Click on the report you want to view.
Logging In as Admin
Login
To login to the system as admin use the below details
Email – [email protected]
Password – admin
Once you have entered the email and password click on the login button.
You are now on the User landing page. You have logged in as admin but would still be able to do all
the user functions for your own login as described in the user section above. So this landing page has
the exact user functionality as above. You can submit your own leave requests and view your own
leave, but as a system admin you can now view the admin menu item – clicking on this will take you
to the admin menus.
Once you have clicked on Admin you will be able to see the admin menu like below

To go back to your user menu click on home
Leave Worklist
You can now view all employees leave requests and have the functionality to approve or decline
these requests. All employees submitted requests will come through to this worklist.
Master Data
As with the user menu this has a dropdown with 2 options.
Leave Categories - This shows you the leave categories that are available, and being an
Admin you can add edit and delete categories
Holidays – This shows the public holidays that have been loaded, and being an admin you
can add, edit and delete holidays.

Employees
Here you can add any new employees that have joined the company, being an Admin you can also
edit employees details or delete employees if need be.
Leave Allocation
Here you would need to allocate leave to each new employee. You can allocate multiple leave
categories to one employee for eg Annual leave and Bonus leave and Sick leave. If a new leave
category is required you can create it under the master data menu and it will appear here. You can
also delete leave categories too.
Leave Request
Here you can put in a leave request on behalf of any employee. Employees should capture their own
leave but this option is there in case the need arises.
Leave Reporting
Here you can view all the reports that the user can view but they will be for ALL employees. Just click
on the required report and you will see that report for all employees.
