January’s Volunteer of the Month is Tonya Yaw! Tonya has been doing a fantastic job leading the Art
Club in some amazing art projects! I can’t wait for the Art Show in May!
February’s Volunteer of the Month is Amanda Brasher. This fearless leader has led the Animal Science
Club to the North American International Livestock Expo and now is prepping her team for the State
Livestock Skillathon on Feb 16th!
March’s Volunteer of the Month is actually a team! It is Team Oneal! The Oneals– Larry and Rebecca,
are installing the trap and 22 range at the fairgrounds for the youth to use this season!

Livingston County has several special interest clubs that meet during the year!
Rough Riders 4-H Horse Club meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 5:30 pm at the
Extension Office. You do not need to own a horse to be a member. The club learns
about horse breeds, anatomy, equine health, horse tack and much more. They com-
pete in horse judging and horse knowledge bowl. Horse camp offers summer fun for
you and your horse. The Horse Judging Contest is March 26 at MSU!
Animal Science Club meets on the 2nd Tuesday at 4:00 pm at the Livingston County
Cooperative Extension Office. Amanda Brasher teaches about all types of livestock in
a fun and interactive way. The Livestock Skillathon is Feb 16th at WKU Ag Center.
Lego Robotics RCX Team– Join the Team! Competition will be March 9,
2019 at WKCTC. Learn to build and program a real Lego Robot! Meet-
ing will occur at the Extension Office. Call for more information at 928-
2168.
Shooting Sports– Meetings will begin this coming Spring. Please call
to be added to the list. Meetings will begin in March. Disciplines are
archery, 22 rifle, 22 pistol, shot gun/trap , air rifle, and air pistol.
Adults, Are you interested in coaching a discipline? Shooting Sports
Coaches Certification Course is March 1-3, 2019. Deadline to register is Feb 15!
Shooting Sports Spring Break Camp– earn your orange card– April 3-6 at Jabez, KY.

Cloverbud Camp

This camp is for the little guys! Enjoy eve-
rything 4-H Camp has to offer in a relaxed
family setting. Families come to Cloverbud
Camp with their 5-8 year olds. Gome hang
out with us in hammocking class, fishing,
swimming, or horse back riding. Or you
might enjoy a night hike, a bon fire, make
smores and so much more! 4-H Council will
offer a 10% discount for families with more
than one Cloverbud.
