    I Can Do - Success CriteriaI can explain the distribution of global biomes in general in reference to latitude and altitude

    I can describe and explain what ecosystems and biomes are.

    I can explain the relationship between different trophic levels

    I can identify the knock-on effects of changes to an ecosystem and consequences it wouldhave for different trophic levels within the ecosystem.

    I can describe the characteristics of at least one small scale ecosystem (freshwater pond)

    I can explain (using a small scale case study of a freshwater pond) that animals and plantswithin an ecosystem are interdependent,

    I can describe the distribution of the 3 key biomes Temperate Deciduous forests, TropicalRainforest and Tropical Deserts.

    I can describe the climatic characteristics of tropical deserts, rainforests and temperateforests
