NEW TO TRINITY? Helping people to worship God is important to us. We believe that worship is not a passive receiving, but an active encounter with Jesus who stoops to meet us as we worship. The Mostly Liturgical Worship Service at 9:00 am uses liturgy, hymns, worship songs, and silence to guide us in the worship of God. The 10:35 am Church From Scratch Worship Service blends all different types of music, arts, liturgy and free-form worship to help guide newcomers and experienced alike in the worship of God. During the Summer and on Family Worship Sunday, selected Sundays throughout the year, we come together as one worshiping family at 9:30 am.

A Nursery, (downstairs) is available for children two and under at both worship hours. A “Family Room” on the right side of the Sanctuary is available, as well.

Sunday Morning Children’s Christian Education

9:00 & 10:35: Children join their families in the Sanctuary for opening worship and “Learning with Our Children”, then proceed downstairs for class. The sign-in sheet at both hours is located in the main hallway outside the Sanctuary doors; sign-out downstairs in Fellowship Hall. Parents must sign their children in and out of all classes every Sunday and pick them up promptly after worship. This is particularly important after the 9 am service so our teachers can put away materials and set up for the 10:35 class. Thank you for supporting our teachers; you are always welcome to visit our classrooms.

Adult Christian Education Sunday morning and Midweek opportunities are available; check the calendar or contact Robin Olschner ([email protected]) for details.

This week’s CHANCEL FLOWERS

have been sponsored by Pat & Donna Nevin in celebration of their

45th Wedding Anniversary!

Each week, flowers may be donated in memory of or to honor someone or a special occasion and noted in the Sunday bulletin. They are then yours to keep following the 10:35 service. Please sign up on the Flower Calendar in the front office for the Sunday you would like to sponsor; place $25 in the day safe using one of the envelopes provided.

Stop by the Lobby today after worship and look for Gerry or Cyndi Hunt by the plants for sale table to get your “Swipe for Missions” King Soopers and Safeway gift cards. Use these when paying for your groceries and help Trinity’s missions. You always get the full value of the balance on your card and can easily reload with a check or credit card (to still get your perks) at the store. It costs nothing to use, we all have to eat, so why not make your grocery spending help worthy causes.

MISSIONS CORNER

Signs of warmth, safety and hope in the Presbytery of Denver As fall turns to winter, and cool winds become frigid blasts, those signs come from mission partnerships which are offering the gifts of housing and caring welcome. Every night New Genesis Transitional Shelter provides both a warm place for the homeless and a hopeful ministry that show that new beginnings are possible for all. The Carpenter’s Helpers Mission Partnership builds homes through Habitat for Humanity and brings families a home of their own and a real place in our communities. Network Ministries provides the warmth of welcome and caring, listening ears to the homeless and mentally ill in downtown Denver. All this is made possible because of the commitment and work of Presbytery mission partnerships and the continued giving by congregations.

Mission Trip Opportunities in 2019 Some members of Trinity will be joining members of St. Ambrose Episcopal Church (Boulder) for a week service trip to Remar Orphanage in La Libertad, El Salvador. The trip dates are not firm yet, but will probably be in late May or in June 2019. A group of about a dozen folks from St. Ambrose have done mission trips there in 2015 and 2017. There will be a planning meeting for the mission trip at noon on Sunday, December 2 at St. Ambrose. If you have any questions about the trip or wish to attend the meeting, contact Tom Olschner at [email protected].

A second mission trip opportunity is to join Tom Olschner and his team on a Habitat for Humanity build in Braga, Portugal, April 27 to May 5, 2019. The team of 12 to 16 members will be working with a Portuguese family to rehab their home. This region of northern Portugal has experienced economic difficulty since the recession of 2008 and our

Habitat teams provide practical assistance and interpersonal encouragement. If you would like more information about this trip, please talk with Tom.

To hear more about the Habitat for Humanity trip in Argentina, as well as other upcoming mission trip opportunities, join Tom on Sunday, November 25 at 10:30 am in Trinity’s Library.
