To conduct a literature circle that analyzes the novel’s theme and makes connections to the central idea of “finding light in the darkness”.

Explain how the theme developed throughout the novel. How did literary elements of plot, character, and setting contribute to the theme?

Passage selection: This development should be reflected in selected passage. Passage should communicate the idea of “finding light in the darkness” and connect to the group’s thematic statement.
