The Mood

M Maze Runner Definition of Mood = A feeling that a literary story conveys. Writers

use a variety of techniques including word choice, dialogue ,description, and plot complications to establish moods.

In the beginning of the book, there was not really any mood because the story had just begun, but the author let us feel everything that Thomas had felt after being released out of “ The Box “. Also, the new girl arrives and creates emotions with Thomas.

Around the middle of the book it had become much more interesting. Thomas was curious and also started to gain more memories about himself. When Thomas became trapped in the Maze after trying to save Alby and Minho, it was extremely hard to stop reading the story.

At the end of the story, all the exciting action ends and the story becomes less interesting. Everyone is happy and there is nothing happening.
