PUBLIC WORKS (H) DEPARTMENTNOTIFICATION

flood of 2018, the Government had decided as per G O.(MS)No.22/2019/PWDdated 4/5/2019 to build the road sector reform agenda around the core roadnetwork which entails enhanced budgetary provisions, improved climate and

framework. The prioritization of the Core Road Network was to be broadlybased on economic importance, connectivity to economic growth centres andstrategically important corridors, traffic volume, share of commercial vehicle,public transport routes, disaster relief and climatic resilence functionalities.TheChief Engineer(Maintenance) has submitted list of roads to be declared as coreroad network after completing the prioritisation exercise

2) Accordingly, Government of Kerala, hereby notify the following roadsfor setting up the Core Road Network in the State.

4) The Chief Engineer(Roads), Chief Engineer(Bridges) and ChiefEngineer(Maintenance) should ensure that priority be given to works onthese roads and enhanced climate and disaster risk resilience standards aremaintained. The Chief Engineer(Admin) to take steps to create separatebudget head for Core Road Network(CRN) in FY 2020-21.
