#202 Grey/Husky 1 ball • LION BRAND® crochet hook size N (10 mm)
• LION BRAND® stitch markers• LION BRAND® large-eyed blunt
needle
GAUGE Exact gauge is not essential to this project.
NOTES1. Hat is worked in one piece in the round.2. Top of Hat is
shaped with simple decreases.
HATLeaving a beginning yarn tail and with fur yarn, chain 25.Sc
in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across – you’ll have 24 sts.Rnd 1:
Being careful not to twist sts, sc in first st of Row 1 and each st
around to join into a rnd. You don’t need to place a beginning of
round marker at this point.Continue working in rnds of sc until all
of the fur yarn has been used. Place beginning of rnd marker in
last st of last rnd and begin working with the Hometown part of the
yarn. Move the marker up as each rnd is completed.Increase Rnd:
Work * 2 sc in next st, sc in each of next 3 sts; rep from * around
– you’ll have 30 sts.Continue working in rounds of sc until you
have just 1 yd (m) of yarn remaining.Last Rnd: Work 2sctog around –
you’ll have 15 sts remaining.Fasten off, leaving a long yarn
tail.Thread yarn tail into blunt needle and weave needle in and out
of remaining sts. Pull to close top of Hat and knot securely.
FINISHINGThread beginning yarn into blunt needle and sew ends of
Row 1 together. Weave in yarn ends.
