Our guest speaker today was Vern Turner who brought us up to date on the Pancake Day schedule. He indicated that everything was going along smoothly and thanked members who have been providing assistance to him. He specifically thanked Chuck Ramage for the fine job he did on the Pancake Day Flip-Off and the publicity we received in the Journal News. I believe he now has broken down the Pancake event into Days, Hours, Minutes & even Seconds to when he will be finished. Just think Vern, only 156 days until you will take over the reins of the club. Just Saying, Not that the current President is counting the days.. Passed the Scholarship Jar. HAPPY BUCKS: Phil III happy to be back from Charleston, SC, encouraged all that if they are in the Charleston area to go see the USS Yorktown, the tenth aircraft carrier to serve in the United States Navy. Bob Brandner gave 2 happy bucks, one to commend Vern for the fine work he is doing on Pancake Day and another for his great trip to Vegas. POTTO LOTTO: Members were given the option of receiving the 5 -5- 5- Million or to get 1 Pancake Day Ticket or 6 Waterwheel Quilt Tickets. Winners were Jim Adams & Edsel Harrison who elected the quilt tickets and Steve Archdeacon who took a Pancake Day Ticket.. ANNOUNCEMENTS: The 11 members who signed up for the 5 th Division meeting in Fairfield tomorrow evening April 28th were reminded to be sure to attend. Our club will be responsible for 11 meals so if you don't show you owe $11.00. Reminder for all board members, officers and anyone else interested, the monthly board meeting will be held at Ryan's Taverns at 5:30pm on Monday, April 4 th . We have sold close to $300.00 in The Kiwanis Raffle Quilt tickets so far. We will be selling tickets at the Pancake Day Breakfast and the drawing will be at Noon. A reminder to Vern Turner, Mike Wolf and the editor to be sure to mark their calendar to be at the Adopt-A-School Celebration Banquet, Thursday, May 5 th PANCAKE DAY April 30th
