MARKING AND CUTTING SEMINAR

SATURDAY JUNE 3RD

10.00AM - 4.30PM (approx.).

VENUE: HAMBLETON SEMINAR ROOM, UNIT G BANK VIEW, SHARD LANE, HAMBLETON, POULTON-LE-FYLDE,

LANCASHIRE FY6 9BX

This course is aimed at familiarising students with the Jem Egg Marker, and is a practical session during which you will learn how

to use the marker to achieve many different types of marking (including lattice work).

Later in the day, we will look at different drill bits and how and when to use them to achieve different results.

A list of the drill bits being covered will be supplied at the time of booking and can be pre-

ordered to collect on the day.

At the end of the day we will mark a more complicated design (shown right) which can

either be completed on the following day OR, if you are unable to attend both sessions, can

be supplied in kit form for you to complete at home.

The Saturday Marking & Cutting Class will cost £25 per person, including a useful course

hand-out and tea/coffee for the day. You will need to provide your own marker, drill and drill

bits plus some goose eggs to practice on.

On Sunday, we will complete the Crystal Trellis egg. Some components may vary slightly

from the original design due to availability. The price for the Sunday class including materials, tuition and tea/coffee for the day is

£38.

Our new glue bottle is proving so much easier to use

than the one we previously supplied. It’s oval shape fits

better in the hand and it is softer and easier to squeeze.

The nozzle twists into place to allow more accurate

dispensing of the glue and when not in use, simply

remove the nozzle and twist on the sealing cap.

Martha Stewart pearl paints (As recently shown on Hochanda)

As many of you are aware, Duncan’s discontinued their entire

pearl paint range, much to the disappointment of egg artists

around the world. We have now replaced these with a pearl paints

which are available in a collection of beautiful colours. The paint

flows smoothly onto the egg and can be applied using either a

brush or sponge. The pots are twice the size of Duncan’s pearls and

the same price - £2.50. That sounds like a good deal to me!

Oooh.. How I love this kid leather!

Supplied in 3 x 3inch squares (plenty to

use when you are cutting into small petal

shapes etc).Choose from light pink, lilac,

turquoise, silver, gold, copper, bronze and

navy. £2.95 per piece

Team it with our delicate 1.2mm beaded

chain in either silver or gold finish. It

creates a beautifully neat edging to the kid

leather. £1/metre
