Fast pressure rise to meet engine start ignition timing
Duel FiltrationImproved pump durability
INSTALLATION CHECKLIST Tips for Successful Installations and Increased Customer Satisfaction:√ For proper installation procedures, consult the appropriate vehicle
service manual. Read all instruction sheets included in the kit.
√ Don’t reuse an old strainer. Install a new Delphi strainer.
√ Install a new in-line fuel filter if equipped with one.
√ Closely examine electrical wiring leading to the fuel pump or module for any evidence of heat damage. Replace damaged wiring with new.
√ If the fuel module has a detached float arm included in the kit, be sure to install it using the instructions provided with the kit.
√ Inspect the fuel tank and the metal fuel lines for contamination and rust. Clean or replace the tank and fuel lines as needed.
SEE THE DELPHI DIFFERENCE
Delphi’s internal springs vs. a competitor’s external springs
Delphi’s redundant button contacts vs. a competitor’s worn bent fingers
FEATURES BENEFITSInternal springs Increased durability and enhanced stability prevents tube chafing
Integrated OE fuel vapor pressure
Reduces potential for greenhouse gas emissions and application-specific to prevent triggering “check engine light”
Four redundant buttons on the fuel level sensor as opposed to fingers
Buttons provide better contact and are longer wearing than older style fingers which can wear quickly
Lower amperage draw
Less load on vehicle’s electrical system. Some competitor units require higher amperage to maintain necessary fuel flow
Large volume reservoir
Maintains sufficient fuel in low fuel situations and vehicle cornering
Fuel level, gold-filled sensors
Improved resistance to sulfur corrosion and heat resistance
Pump flow • Consistent flow of 26 g/s or more on most pumps. Some competitor pumps are inconsistent and some deliver less flow than the average
• During cold weather starts, Delphi pumps consistently register 8.5 g/s (required 5 g/s), while some competitors only produce 1 g/s flow thereby causing issues during cold weather starts
Enhanced filtration system
Better control of contaminates for longer pump life due to two-strainer system
OE service body harness and connector
• Increased terminal size and enhanced connectors eliminate excessive electrical resistance, improves heat dissipation and boosts current flow capacity
• Corrosion-free environment between harness and connector from heat shrinking method, while some competitors solder or crimp the connection
• Greater electrical resistance because wiring from pump to undercover connector is thicker
• Ease of installation due to color-coded wire harness
Secure seal between pump and convoluted tube
On most pumps, Delphi presses the convoluted tube directly to the pump for a secure seal. Some competitors use a grommet seal, which could cause leaks and reduced flow
Empty float height and float retention is to exact OE specifications
• Guaranteed correct gas gauge reading
• Durable float retention, which is free spinning and retained with a bend in the arm
• Some competitors use a pall nut which may not prevent float coming off float arm during use

Like Mark, Delphi fuel pumps are true originals. We set ourselves apart from the competition with three words: fast pressure rise. As the OE, Delphi knows how to restore fast-pressure performance and system integrity translating to better pumping through less energy. What does this mean for you? Fewer comebacks due to long cranks, hesitations and overall sluggishness.
