Advent

• Why are there 5 candles on an advent ring?

How to make an Advent calendar

• Get into pairs• One partner uses one piece of

paper for the front cover of the calendar the other has one for the back (the pictures inside)

Front Cover

• Turn your page over so that the page is blank.

• Draw a Christmas scene on the front to do with how Christians celebrate Christmas.

• When that is complete you can cut 3 sides of the boxes out so that it can open as a window.

Back Cover

• The boxes need to have symbols or pictures from the story You are not allowed to use any of the following:

• Santa• Reindeer• Snowman• Christmas tree• Presents• Robin• Snowflakes etc.

Back cover

• When the pictures are finished they can be cut out and glued on the back of the front cover.

• An additional piece of paper can then cover the back.

All Together

On the front, number the windows at random apart from 25 which should be the largest one.
