Principle # 4: We must flee sexual immorality and PURSUE the fruits of the Spirit

1. Flee sexual immorality - our body is a TEMPLE of the living God, and Fill your mind with the fruit of the Holy Spirit so there is no room for the destructive sins of the flesh.

Galatians 5:19-25 “The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.”

Principle # 5: We are dating our brothers & sisters in Christ: ABSOLUTE PURITY REQUIRED!1. There should not even be a hint of sexual impurity

among us – especially since they are our brothers and sisters in the Lord!

1 Timothy 5:1-2 “Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, 2 older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.”

1. Jesus said that God’s plan is to wait for marriage and let nothing separate the two He has made one.

2. It is God’s will for us to be pure and holy by avoiding sexual immorality and learning to control our bodies in ways that are honorable to God.

Matthew 19:3-6 “Some Pharisees came to him to test him. They asked, "Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any and every reason?“ "Haven't you read," he replied, "that at the beginning the Creator `made them male and female,' 5 and said, `For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh' ? 6 So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.“

1 Th 4:3-8 It is God's will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality; 4 that each of you should learn to control his own body in a way that is holy and honorable, 5 not in passionate lust like the heathen, who do not know God; 6 and that in this matter no one should wrong his brother or take advantage of him. The Lord will punish men for all such sins, as we have already told you and warned you. 7 For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. 8 Therefore, he who rejects this instruction does not reject man but God, who gives you his Holy Spirit.
