2. Synchronize LIDOS Mining data
LIDOS Mining data are not available on DVD. For Liebherr intranet members, LIDOS data are available
on
\\lissvfile01.zdv.liebherr.i\LIDOS_Installations\MIN
To get permission to this server to synchronize the Mining data, create an Active Directory group
called “.XXX-LIDOS-Admin” in Outlook (XXX is for branch alias, e.g. “.LEC-LIDOS-Admin”). Put into this
group the necessary members who need access to the server. After creating and editing this AD
group, contact [email protected] to request permission for this group on the server.
The directory \\lissvfile01.zdv.liebherr.i\LIDOS_Installations\MIN includes four folders called
“D5MIN”, “D5PRG”, “D5WEB” and “Tools”.
Source data will be updated weekly, normally on Monday. In case of problems during the data
generation or other delays, data will be updated on some other day a week. During the update
process folders temporarily do not exist. For example, while source data update, the folder “D5MIN”
will be renamed to “D5MIN$”. Do not touch this folder as long as it is renamed. After positive testing,
the folder will be activated again. In worst cases, the folders cannot be found for several hours.
Use a synchronization tool (e. g. Robocopy, AlwaysSync …) to mirror these data to your local server.
Make sure all four folders will be synchronized. Always synchronize the structure exactly like on
sources (destination folders must be placed in the same manner). Make sure, your synchronization
take place at night between 6:00 pm and 8:00 am one day a week and do not synchronize renamed
folders.
Never start any installation directly from \\lissvfile01.zdv.liebherr.i\LIDOS_Installations\MIN, to make
sure network traffic is not up to more than necessary.

3. Install Security Client
To work with the various LIDOS programs, they must be installed and properly licensed. For this
purpose, you need the “Professional Security Control Client” (“ProSecCo”) license utility. In the
“ProSecCo” utility, the authorization code sent to you by e-mail or fax must be entered and stored.
After the authorization code is registered, the “ProSecCo” license utility shows all programs that are
currently licensed and thus installable. You can continue with installing these LIDOS programs.
There are different applications in your location \\yourserver\yourlidosdirectory\D5PRG. Use
“SecurityClientXXXX.exe” (XXXX is for the version) to start the installation of ProSecCo security client.

3.1. After the installation of “ProSecCo” is completed, the “Licensing” form is displayed.
Complete the “Licensing” form and send it by e-mail or fax to the address indicated on the
form. Note in the e-mail or fax that this is for a LIDOS Mining installation to get the correct
authorization code. After having sent the request form by e-mail or fax, you will receive an
authorization code. Enter this code in the “Licensing” form and save it. Only after the
authorization code is saved, LIDOS can be installed.
3.2. After saving the authorization code, the “ProSecCo” license utility is opened. All programs
that are licensed with the stored authorization code and can thus be installed are listed.
Make sure, the at least these four entries shown in the screenshot are available.
3.3. Close “ProSecCo” license utility and go on with the LIDOS Mining installation.

4. Install LIDOS Mining
There are two applications in your location \\yourserver\yourlidosdirectory\D5MIN called
“setup.exe” and “update.exe”. Use “setup.exe” to lunch a new LIDOS installation and “update.exe”
to start an update to an existing LIDOS installation on the client. Start “setup.exe” for first LIDOS
installation on this PC.
4.1. The installation starts and checks whether there are any other programs running. If all
programs are closed, the “Welcome” window is displayed. Click on “Next”.
4.2. You have the opportunity to choose between these three different installation options.
Installation option 1: “Single station” (system data only)
Only the system data required to run the program is installed on the local PC. To run LIDOS,
a network drive connection to the server must exist.
Installation option 2: “Single station with data”
All data are copied to the local PC. Check out the data volume on the server and make sure
this space is available on your PC. If you have already installed a previous, only some of the
data is replaced and added, so that the space requirements are lower. By synchronizing the
data, the time required for an update is considerably shorter than that needed for an initial
installation.

the advantage that an unlimited number of workstations can work simultaneously using the

(option “Single station” or “Single station with data”). Only after the client installation is
completed, LIDOS can be used at the workstations.
Select your installation option and click “Next”
4.3. The “Select Destination Directory” window is displayed. By default, the LIDOS data is copied
to the directory “C:\LIDOS\LIDOS_MIN”. You have however the option to change the name
