2014 ANNUAL REPORT
Our 2014 “Ropin’ Cash for Kids” fundraising event was our most successful to date! Because
we grew out of the location at the Fairfield Community Center, we moved venues and had the
dinner and auction at the Liberty Elementary gymnasium. We had a western theme complete
with a delicious BBQ dinner catered by Nordic Smoke, which is owned by Liberty graduates,
Dusty and Kasey Tellessen. Fun was had by all and the gym was also a full venue. Donations
from community members were very generous and over $20,000 was raised. This event is our
main way of financing scholarships and grants for the year. We
love to help Liberty students pursue their futures. It is our goal to
reach as many students as possible. If you haven’t yet attended
one of our LCEF fundraisers, put October 24, 2015, on your cal-
endar. We hope to see you there!
The Liberty Community Education Foundation develops private resources to enrich education
for the lifelong learning experiences of our students and community. Our objectives include
enhancing education opportunities for students and alumni; enriching academic experiences
by supporting extra-curricular activities; encouraging teachers by supporting new and creative
ideas for delivering education; and promoting school and community partnerships to share
financial and human resources.
