The Contractor is responsible for determining and verifying all quantities,

dimensions, specified performance criteria, installation requirements, materials, catalog numbers and similar data with respect thereto and reviewing and coordinating each shop drawing or sample with other shop drawings and samples and with the requirements of the work and the contract documents.

This check is for conformance with the design concept of the project in

accordance with the Contract Specifications and Drawings. This check does not relieve the contractor from compliance with the requirements of the Contract Documents.

The Contractor is responsible for the means, methods, techniques, sequences

and procedures of construction and the safety precautions and programs incident thereto and this review does not extend to them.

Engineer Review Comments

1. The use of organic content testing by dichromate oxidation is an acceptable substitution for the specified organic content testing in accordance with AASHTO T194.

2. This off-site material has 24.3% soils remaining above the #10 screen per Conti’s submittal. The percent of soils remaining above the #10 screen was below 20% per Louis Berger’s audit sample taken on 09/19/2014. Based on Louis Berger’s audit sample results, this material’s gradation is acceptable, however Louis Berger reserves the right to reject any
