I am a graduate student currently pursuing a master’s degree in multiple subjects’ education from National University. The University offers an internship program that will allow me to teach while I pursue my certification in California and my mater’s degree in education. I am a dedicated, driven, and a hard working leader with years of experience. My life has been centered on making a difference in the lives of children and pushing them forward. With my background in English I have had the pleasure of teaching 7 th and 8 th grade English at Georgia Washington Jr. High School in Montgomery, Alabama. At a title one school I was exposed to a wide variety of students that struggled with learning disabilities, emotional issues, physical handicaps, broken families, and teen issues. This has allowed me to see things from a new perspective when working with my students. I have learned to listen more and seek resources in order to assist them in their situations. Last summer the district of San Jose hired me to work with at risk teen for the summer. We did an eight-week summer camp, which instilled leadership, confidence, and a positive outlook in their life. As a director at Children's World Learning Center, I learned the business aspect of running a facility and managing employees as well as a daycare center. I am looking for a career that is life changing and one that makes a difference in the lives of others. I am looking for this type of opportunity. Now that I am back in California, I am looking for a career that is offering highly competitive salaries and a benefit package that commensurate with education and years of experience. I would appreciate the opportunity to meet and further discuss my qualifications and the positions with your school. I can be reached at aforementioned above. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
