Objectives: To explore and examine working as part of a team towards achieving specific goals. To recognise and examine how to deal with any conflict or difficult situations as a team leader In Class activity: Group work Individual work Starter activity Q+A PPT Ball activity Work on laptops on assignments. Some students should also: Be able to attempt extension tasks in place and take more challenging roles in group activities. Health and Safety: Ensuring all electrical appliances are in working order Tables and chairs are not damaged Learners have enough space to do the activities and move around the classroom. Registration / Starter activity fill in the blanks.

Team numeracy activity in which in teams learners will work out percentages of workforce and management with aid of a few figures and conclude team figures on this task and present finding on pie charts..

To work in teams. Engaging in problem solving and research.

High ability students paired with low ability students

Less able students given prompts

Pictures with car logos given and laptop per table to do research.

If big screen does not work to display objectives in written form on marker board.

Lesson Plan Each student to come and write one goal of their team on the board.

Go around to see learners are participating in this activity.

Powerpoint on P5 to give some background information to students regarding team working and working towards goals.

Students to participate in a group activity where they do a a mind map on posters about how to deal with any conflict or difficult situations as a team leader. This will also involve discussion. Where a Team member will randomly be chosen to speak about this

Students in their groups to engage in this brain storming activity on dealing with conflicts as a team leader. Students shall contribute actively to this task.

Learning objective 1 & 2

To ask students questions as moving from group to group to check understanding of topic and to identify any possible weaknesses that need to be addressed latter on in the lesson to build a better understanding of the topic.

Encouragement and prompts given where necessary.

Markers and flip chart paper given to each group and the use of laptops for research.

Lesson Plan topic by drawing a name from a bag.

10:1010:30(5 mins each)

Learners to in groups present their research in front of class and also talk a bit about specifics goals of working as team from the first task of the lesson.

Teacher to observe whilst learners present. Teacher to look out for what has been learned and to prompt or assist students where necessary by asking a higher ability student from another group to answer the question to check for adequate learning across the class.

Groups working together to present their findings from each table with the teacher asking questions and other groups actively listening.

Learning objective 1 & 2 checked against this task

Encourage learners to discuss and lead questions

Able students bring real life examples into discussion

Use group notes made earlier from mind map task and tutors powerpoint presentation.

10:30-10:45 BREAK10:45 – 11: 45

Learners to work on P3 and P4 for Unit-19. Teacher to assist and help where necessary.

Students to work their assignment for P3 and P4 with the aid a laptops

Teacher to go and check how students are getting on with their assignments.

To assist, prompt and praise students where necessary.

Students use la[tops for working on their assignments.

11:45 - 12

Plenary and question and answer session to check knowledge & understanding and what has been learnt so far about the working together as a team towards specific goals and conflict resolving for team leaders. Learning objectives will be revisited.

Students to take part in questions and answers session actively and will be randomly asked and then they would randomly pick another fellow colleague who would answer another question and so forth.

Plenary checked against LOS.

Encourage, prompt and praise students where necessary.

Students to take notes on paper. Handouts will be provided as well. Pens and paper provided where necessary.
