If you sow a Habit You reap a Character. If you sow a Character You reap a Destiny. Summary: A Belief grows into a Destiny
Ungodly Beliefs
1. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,… Rom 12:2
2. …For as he thinks within himself, so he is. Pro 23:7 NASB
3. Ungodly Stronghold of Thinking is our thought pattern (beliefs,
decision, attitudes, agreements, judgments, inner vows) that does not agree or align itself with the Word, Nature and Character of God.
Ungodly Beliefs Has Its Roots In:
• Family Systems (Sins Of the Fathers and
Resulting Curses) • Including Word curses and Ungodly Soul Ties
• Wounded Hearts (Soul Spirit Hurts)
• Demonic Influence and Oppression
UGB – It is an Ungodly Beliefs Directed Towards
• Self
• Others
• God
Ungodly Beliefs about Self
Theme: Rejection, Not Belonging • I don't belong. I will always be on the outside (left out). • My feelings don't count. No one cares what I feel. • No one will love me or care about me just for myself. • will always be lonely. The special man (woman) in my life will not be
there for me. Unworthiness, Guilt, Shame • I am not worthy to receive anything from God. • I am the problem. When something is wrong, it is my fault. • I am a bad person. If you knew the real me, you would reject me.I • If I wear a mask, people won't find out how horrible I am and reject me. • I have messed up so badly that I have missed God's best for me.
Ungodly Beliefs about Self
Doing to achieve Self worth, Value, Recognition! • I will never get credit for what I do • My value is in what I do. I am valuable because I do good to others or
because I am "successful.” • Even when I do or give my best, it is not good enough. I can never meet
the standard. • God doesn't care if I have a "secret life," as long as I appear to be good. I must be in Control (to avoid hurt) • I have to plan every day of my life. I have to continually plan/strategize. I
can't relax. • The perfect life is one in which no conflict is allowed and so there is peace. • I can avoid conflict that would risk losing others' approval by being passive
and not do anything. • The best way to avoid more hurt, rejection, etc., is to isolate myself.
Ungodly Beliefs about Self
Physical • I am unattractive. God shortchanged me. • I am doomed to have certain physical disabilities. They are just part of
what I have inherited.
Personality Traits • I will always be(angry, shy, jealous, insecure, fearful, etc.). • I will never be(likable, lovable, happy, safe, content, etc.). Identity • I should have been a boy (girl), then my parents would have valued/loved
me more ... etc. • Men (women) have it better. • I will never be known or appreciated for my real self • I will never really change and be as God wants me to be. • I am not competent/complete as a man (woman).
Ungodly Beliefs about Self
Hopelessness/Helplessness • I am out there all alone. If I get into trouble or need help, there is no one
to rescue me. • I have made such a mess of my life there is no use going on. • I am a victim of my circumstances and there is no hope for change. • I'm all alone. • Something is wrong with me.
Miscellaneous • I have wasted a lot of time and energy, some of my best years. • Turmoil is normal for me.. • I will always have financial problems.
WHAT IS YOUR UNGODLY BELIEVE ABOUT YOURSELF??
Ungodly Beliefs about Others
Safety/Protection • I must be very guarded about what I say since anything I say may be used
against me. • I have to guard and hide my emotions and feelings. I cannot give anyone
the satisfaction of knowing that they have wounded or hurt me. I'll not be vulnerable, humiliated, or shamed.
• The best way to survive is to (avoid, overpower) other people. • I will always need to be strong in order to protect and defend myself. • It's not safe to submit myself to anyone. Retaliation • The correct way to respond if someone offends me is to punish them by
withdrawing and/or cutting them off. • I will make sure that hurts as much as I do!
Ungodly Beliefs about Others Victim • Authority figures will humiliate me and violate me. • I will always be used and abused by other people. • My value is based totally on others' judgment/perception about me. • I am completely under their authority. I have no will or choice of my own. • I will not be known, understood, loved, or appreciated for who I am by
those close to me. • The significant people in my life are not there for me and will not be there
for me when I need them.
Defective in Relationships • I will never be able to fully give or receive love. I don't know what it is. • If I let anyone get close to me, I may get my heart broken again. I can't let
myself risk it. • If I fail to please you, I won't receive your pleasure and acceptance of me.
Therefore, I must strive even more (perfectionism). I must do whatever is necessary to try to please you.
• I will never be a priority with those in authority over me.
Ungodly Beliefs about God
Ungodly Beliefs about God • God loves other people more than He loves me. • God only values me for what I do. My life is just a means to an end. • No matter how much I try, I'll never be able to do enough nor do it well enough to
please God. • God is judging me when I relax. I have to stay busy about His work or He will
punish me. • God has let me down before. He may do it again. I can't trust Him or feel secure
with Him. Question: What do you think is the mindset of the ten spies vs Caleb? The Israelites who just came out of Egypt vs Moses?

Ministry Time
How to Remove Ungodly Beliefs?
• Circumstances and Facts Vs God’s Truth • Facts Are True, base on our experience here and now.
– The person did die – The business did close down – The person had a disease – The sin did happen
• But There is a higher level of Truth than the Facts (1 Cor 2:14-16) • But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to
him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, THAT HE WILL INSTRUCT HIM? But we have the mind of Christ.
• To be saved from Ungodly Stronghold of Thinking, we must – Deal with the root cause (SFO, WH, DO) – Replace it with Godly Thinking
How to Write Godly Beliefs
UGB Ministry Step
• Think About What You Are Thinking About • Identify the UGB • Identify the lies UST says about us, others, and God • Identify the root of our UGB( according to the leading of the Holy
Spirit) • Minister any forgiveness, healing, or deliverance where appropriate • Work out a counter godly thinking for each UGB according to what
God’s word says. • Pray and meditate on the godly thinking above daily to renew your
mind
Confess: • Have receiver confess the sin of believing the UGB (lie) rather than the truth and living his life according to this lie.
[If applicable, the ministry receiver should confess the Sins of his Fathers (and mothers) in believing and acting on the same lies.
Forgive: • Have receiver forgive his ancestors (fathers and mothers) that have passed down to him the UGB (if appropriate).
Have receiver forgive all others that may have influenced him to form the UGB. Repent: • Have receiver ask God's forgiveness for living his life based on this UGB. Forgive: • Have receiver forgive himself. Renounce: • Have receiver renounce the UGB and break its power from his life based on the finished work of Christ on the
Cross. (Encourage him to be strong in setting his will and to make a spiritual "decree" to refuse the UGB any more importance in his life.)
Construct: • Present the new GB or work with receiver to construct a new GB. Fine-tune the GB until you and the receiver have
a good "first draft." Receive/Affirm: • Have receiver declare the GB and receive it into his belief system as the replacement for the previously removed
UGB. (Repeat the above steps until you have gone through all of the UGBs list.) Restore: Pray for the receiver's new set of GBs. Pray that God bring to an end the effects of the UGBs in his life. Pray for the GBs to be planted into his heart. Pray that the Word already in his heart will be brought to the surface of his mind and be available for use as a weapon against future, ungodly thoughts. Pray for the discipline needed for him to meditate on his new GBs for at least 30 days. Pray that the Holy Spirit will make him very sensitive to falling back into old thought patterns and that he will be able to take captive any such Thoughts. Pray for new habit patterns of thought to be established.
