4. Location of Existing and/or Proposed Facilities A. Facilities owned or controlled by operator (cont)
4. Gas gathering lines - None 5. Injection lines - None 6. Disposal lines - None
B. Contemplated facilities in the event of production (See Diagram IV) 1. Tank batteries would be constructed on location. 2. Production facilities will require an area approximately 240'x250'. 3. Tank batteries will be constructed on the location pad so that
no outside material will be needed. Pole trucks will be used to maneuver and set equipment. A backhoe will be used to dig trenches and bury lines.
4. In order to protect wildlife and livestock, pits will be fenced. If installed, the pumping unit will also be fenced.
C. Rehabilitation Plan Disturbed areas no longer needed for operations will be bladed to approximate original contour and reseeded with a seed mixture agreed to by the BLM.
5. Location and Type of Water Supply A. Water will be obtained from the Pfister Ranch at a location 7 miles NW
of location in Sec.5-T10S-R1E. See Map I. B. Water will be trucked. No additional roads or pipelines are needed. C. A water well will not be drilled.
6. Source of Construction Materials A. No construction materials other than the surface soil material will
be necessary for the drilling site or the access road. If any outside gravel or materials are needed, they will be obtained from the dirt contractor.
B. Surface is owned by Robert E., Ronson,& Rodney A. Pfister. No materials will be taken from Federal or Indian land.
C. No sand, gravel, stone or soil materials will be used unless purchased through a local supplier. Surface soil materials should be sufficient.
D. No access roads for construction materials are needed.
7. Methods for Handling Waste Disposal A. Cuttings will be retained in the reserve pit. B. Drilling fluids will be retained in the reserve pit. C. Any produced oil will be collected in a tank. If volume is
sufficient it will be trucked from the location. Any produced water will be retained in the reserve pit.
D. Chemical facilities will be provided for human waste. E. Garbage and other waste material will be collected in a trash
pit enclosed by small mesh wire. Combustable material will be burned in the pit and all residue buried at the conclusion of operations.
PLACED OIL COMPANY. ederal 3-15 SWSE Sec.3 - T11S-RIE I'M River County, South Dakota
Page 3
7. Methods for Handling Waste Disposal (cont) F. Upon completion of operations the area will be cleared of all
trash and materials. Such materials will he deposited on the appropriate pit, burned and buried.
8. Ancillary Facilities No camps or airstrips will be constructed.
9. Well Site La/put A. Plats of drill pad showing cuts and fills. See Diagrams I&II. B. Rig layout plan'showinftpuud tanks, pits, pipe racks,
trailers, soil stockpiles, etc. See Diagrams I&II. C. Rig orientation, parking areas and access road. See Diagrams I&II D. The reserve pits will not be lined.
10. Plans for Restoration of Surface A. In the event of a dry hole, pits will be allowed to dry and
then backfilled. Waste pits will also be backfilled. The location will be restored to as near original contour as possible and reseeded. Stockpiled topsoil will be used in the recontouring. All soils will be segregated with respect to combustability and be burned, buried or hauled away. In the event of a producing well, the pits will be fenced and any unused area will be restored.
B. Revegitation will be achieved by seeding according to BLM require-ments as to seed mixtures and procedures and as agreed to by the surface owner.
C. Pits will be fenced on three sides during drilling and on fourth side prior to rig release and maintained until leveling and cleanup are accomplished.
D. Rehabilitation operations will begin as soon as possible after the rig is off location. The pits will be allowed to dry and then backfilled. Reseeding will also take place at this time or as directed by the BLM. Rehabilitation should be completed within 12 months of the conclusion of drilling operations.
E. If oil is in or on pits, pits will be flagged overhead.
11. Other Information A. The topography of the area is gently rolling hills. Generally,
shale slopes prevail with sandy-clay loam. soil. The area is covered with sagebrush and native grasses. Fauna is principally livestock, rabbits, antelope and deer. No distinguishing geological features are present.
B. The primary surface use is grazing. The surface is owned by Robert E., Ronson, & Rodney A. Pfister.
