Ninth Grade Band
• For the Developing Performer • Group of about 60 Students • Meets every day – Year Long • Academic Level Ensemble • Grade III or IV Music • NO AUDITION REQUIRED • Time Commitment:
• Occasional After-school Rehearsal is Required • Music Performance Adjudication Festival in March • Concerts in December, March and May • Optional Spring Trip Every Year
Symphonic Band • For Leesville’s Top Performers • Named the Best Concert Band in the State of North Carolina this Year! • Group of about 80 students • Meets every day – Year Long • Honors Level Ensemble • Also Leesville’s Marching Band • Grade VI Music • Audition Required • Time Commitment
• Two weeks of Band Camp (July 17th-29th) • One Summer Rehearsal on June 11th and multiple in August • Morning Rehearsals (6:45-7:15am) • A Sectional Once a Week (2:30-3:00pm) • Home Football Games • Four Marching Competitions (Saturdays in Late September and October) • Music Performance Adjudication Festival in March • Concerts in December, March, May • Spring Trip Every Year

Fair Share u Fair Share is the amount of money assessed to each band member
to cover the expected operating expenses for each band.
u The expenses included in fair share are items such as sheet music, instruments, competition fees, transportation expenses, and concert performance expenses. The cost of fair share varies each year.
u Symphonic Band fair share is around $200-$250
u Concert/9th Grade Band fair share is around $50
u Fair share is due by September 15th
u Fair share must be paid in full before your student is eligible to go on the spring trip
