In the evenings, we will enjoy music around the campfire and get to know each other and build deeper relationships that will last a lifetime.LOCATIONThis year’s Fall workshop will be located in Smithville Tennessee on property purchased with the assistance of MTSU real estate students and faculty. The site, called “The Ridge” is already home to several experiments in sustainable real estate development, construction and recreation. The property is approximately one hour from MTSU’s campus in Murfreesboro, TN. As the name suggests, The Ridge sits atop a series of ridges that overlook one of Tennessee’s natural beauties, Center Hill Lake. Guests may stay in nearby motels, AirBnb cabins or stay on site. NOT YOUR NORMAL WORKSHOPIn partnership with Middle Tennessee State Universi-ty’s School of Concrete and Construction Management and MTSU’s Real Estate Studies Program, The Innova-tion in Concrete, Construction and Real Estate 2019 Fall Workshop will be held over a weekend. A small group of interested participants will be selected from the academy, industry and the trades. Only those who have a good attitude, are fun to be around and how are interested in building toward a larger event in 2020 will be asked to join the workshop. Many participants will stay on site in a variety of accommodations that range form tents to an award winning glamping experience. FOOD AND FUNIn addition to some great learning opportunities, the ICCRE Workshop has a clear mission of being a fun and rejuvenating experience. We will have chef prepared meals at camp, musical entertainment, time to relax and spaces to get away if you need some alone time. The camp features a well appointed kitchen, high speed internet, nearly 5 miles of hiking trails, camp fire areas, grills, games, and more. Enjoy a beautiful camp during the fall leaf changing. During the Fall Workshop, partici-pants will get a taste of how Domegaia has developed a simple, d o - i t - y o u r s e l f

method for constructing aircrete dome homes using simple tools, inexpensive dish soap, and cement. Domegaia conducts workshops around the globe and is at the forefront of a movement to construct small, sustainable homes on a budget with readily available materials. This first event will focus on an overview of selected construction and development methods, new materials, and the planning of a the ICCRE Conference to be held in Fall 2020. Knotted Olive Capital is proud to announce the Glamping Design Grant 2020 of US $10,000 for the best glamping design proposal for a project that will be built using the grant funds at The Ridge prior to the 2020 Workshop and Symposium. The willing idea will be awarded by the Steering Group. All notable designs will also be featured in a session during the Workshop.

The ICCRE Fall workshop November 2019 is intended as a planning event and retreat to help build momentum and a team to organize a larger workshop this time next year on the same site with a more extensive agenda, broader participation, and impact. The workshop provides a forum for presenting new ideas, discussing current issues, and learning about new trends over a broad spectrum of construction, concrete and real estate related topics.

The success of the ICCRE Fall Workshop will depend on the involve-ment of thought leaders from a diverse group of industries, academic disciplines, global points of view, and professional practices. We solicit and need your participation to ensure in the 2019 Workshop and in the planning over the next 12 months for the 2020 Workshop and Symposium. You are invited to present a paper, chair a session, or serve as a panelist or discussant. Please indicate your interest when submitting abstracts, papers, or proposals on-line.
