• Lee Blvd eastbound from Lee St to Jack Ave N • James Ave N between Lee Blvd and 5th St W with closure of the turn lane on

McGregor Blvd / Tanglewood Pkwy Force Main Replacement, Fort Myers: Andrew Sitework will be installing a new force main for Lee County BOCC along McGregor Blvd. through the Whiskey Creek Dr. intersection, within the Greenbriar Dr., and Tanglewood Pkwy. intersections. The new force main then continues east along the north side of Tanglewood Pkwy to Tanglewood Riverside Elementary School. Construction will begin on Monday, October 19, 2020 and will continue through June 18, 2021. This work will require periodic lane closures, detours, and the use of Flag Man Operations in order to install the new force main. Motorists and pedestrians should use caution in the work zones as crews are on site. Maintenance of traffic (MOT) will be provided by Bob’s Barricades throughout the site and updated regularly. SR 867/McGregor Boulevard from Dean Way to River Palm Court: Florida Department of Transportation Construction Project: Crews will be installing new drainage on the east side of SR 867/McGregor Boulevard from Dean Way to River Palm Court and on the east side of Shaddelee Lane W.

• Motorists should expect Shaddelee Lane W. closed though late October 2020. Motorists should follow detour signs and use caution as crews work in the roadway.

• Motorists should expect McGgregor Boulevard closed from Monday, October 12 through Friday, October 23. Motorists should follow detour signs and use caution as crews work in the roadway.

Lane closures will occur during nighttime/overnight hours from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Motorists should expect delays and use caution while traveling in this area. SR 867/McGregor Boulevard Closed from Winkler Road to Dean Way, Fort Myers: SR 867/McGregor Boulevard will be closed from Winkler Road to Dean Way in Lee County from 6 a.m. Monday, October 12 through 7 p.m. Friday, October 23, 2020 for crews to install drainage structures underneath the road, weather permitting. Motorists should follow detour signs and use caution as crews work in the roadway. The detour to College Parkway and Winkler Road is shown in the map below. McGregor Boulevard will remain open to local traffic only.

This work is being conducted as part of the SR 867/McGregor Boulevard drainage project from Dean Way to River Palm Court. The project improvements include installing drainage structures throughout the project limits. The expected completion time is the beginning of the year 2021. Park Road and Sunset Road, Lehigh: A contractor will begin milling and paving areas of Park Road and Sunset Road between Gunnery and Felix Romano Drive on Monday, November 2, 2020 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Motorists should use caution, as there will be lane closures and uneven pavement in this area. Please be aware of signage in this area.

Sanibel Causeway Bridge: On Tuesday, November 17, 2020, Lee County will inspect the Sanibel Causeway Bridge Structure A over San Carlos Bay. All the work will be performed over the bridge on a snooper truck. During this period, Lee County will do several "Lane Shifts" to accommodate the Snooper Truck and the bridge's inspection equipment on the required locations. Traffic will be slowed down. Beacon Manor Drive: Lee County DOT along with a contractor will be making improvements on Beacon Manor Drive (between US 41 and Danley Drive). Utility, drainage and sidewalk work will be included in the project. Work is expected to start on February 3, 2020 and be completed by October, 2020. During construction, motorists should be prepared to stop and expect delays when work is active. Also, during beginning phases of the project, the dedicated right turn at US 41 will not be accessible. Drivers and pedestrians should use extra caution in this area. Contractors for Fort Myers Beach and Lee County are installing new water main, and sanitary sewer force main, storm drainage, sidewalk and rebuilding roadway on Estero Boulevard from Strandview Avenue to the south end of the Island. Motorists may experience daytime and nighttime intermittent one-lane traffic on Estero Boulevard. Flaggers will alternate traffic frequently, but motorists should expect delays. Motorists may experience momentary delays while crews move materials for the construction activities. Crews are expected to work Monday through Friday and most Saturdays. Strandview Avenue to Lazy Way – Motorists may experience intermittent closures while crews work on the center lane drainage system. Lazy Way to Aberdeen Avenue - Northbound traffic is shifted to the center lane for bay side work. Aberdeen Avenue to Lanark Avenue - Southbound traffic is shifted to the center lane while crews work on the beach side. Lanark Avenue to Flamingo Street - The center lane is closed for storm drain installation.

• Barrels separate the northbound and southbound lanes. Motorists should expect to make U-turns when accessing properties on the opposite side of the road from the travel lane. Motorists exiting side streets and driveways from north of Aberdeen Avenue to Flamingo Street must make right turns onto Estero Boulevard and then make a U-turn.

Flamingo Street to Albatross Street - North and southbound traffic is shifted to the bay side while crews work on the beach side. Albatross Street to north of Bay Beach Lane - North and southbound traffic is shifted to the beach side while crews work on the bay side. North of Bay Beach Lane to Redfish Road

• North and southbound traffic is currently shifted to the bay side for beach side work. • Wednesday, October 28, 2020, both lanes of traffic are expected to shift toward the beach

side for work on the bay side. Redfish Road to the south end of the island - North and southbound traffic is shifted to the bay side. Hanson Street Extension, Phase II from Veronica S. Shoemaker Boulevard to Ortiz Avenue

The City of Fort Myers is building the second phase of the Hanson Street Extension from west of Veronica S. Shoemaker Boulevard to Ortiz Avenue. The project includes building new roadway, installing new sanitarty sewer force main and potable and reclaim water mains. The Hanson Street Extension project also includes six-foot sidewalks, seven-foot bike lanes, and two roundabouts. One roundabout will be located at the Hanson Street and Veronica S. Shoemaker Boulevard intersection and another will be located at the Hanson Street Extension and Ortiz Avenue intersection. The project is anticipated to be completed at the end of 2020.

ORTIZ AVENUE • Two lanes of traffic are maintained on the east side of the Ortiz Avenue with one

lane in each direction from Bruce Herd Lane (Eastwood Golf Course entrance) north one mile.

• The speed limit has been reduced to 20 mph through the Ortiz Avenue future

roundabout.

• The multiuse path on the west side of Ortiz Avenue is open. Crews have installed a temporary diversion around the construction.

Littleton Road – Kismet Parkway Realignment: Construction Project: The project realigns the Littleton Road/Kismet Parkway intersection at NE 24th Avenue and adds a roundabout at the intersection of Littleton and Corbett Roads. The contractor will also add bike lanes, sidewalks, intersection lighting, and drainage improvements.

• Please be aware of NEW STOP SIGNS ON NE 24th AVENUE at the intersection of Littleton Road/Kismet Parkway. Cross traffic does not stop at Littleton Road/Kismet Parkway.

• Traffic has been shifted to the new segment of Littleton Road, which intersects NE 24th Avenue at Kismet Parkway and continues through the new roundabout at Corbett Road. While work continues in the roundabout, temporary signals will control when vehicles enter the roundabout. The signals will be removed later in the project as work is completed. Residences on Old Littleton Road will remain accessible from the new roadway.

Estimated completion is end of 2020. Project cost is approximately $2 million. The contractor is Thompkins Contracting, Inc. Pine Island Road, Pine Island: Cabana Construction will be installing water line pipe on Pine Island Road between Nikkis Lane and Betsy Parkway. Motorists - Please use caution when traveling in work zone areas

Construction will provide maintenance of traffic (MOT) to control traffic and lane closures. Motorists should use caution in the work zone area. Work is expected to be completed by November 28, 2020. Plantation Road and Penzance Boulevard: PowerTown Line Construction will be removing and installing poles for FPL on the east side of Plantation Road, from Penzance Blvd. north to Idlewild Street; also on the south side of Penzance Blvd, from Plantation Road East to Six Mile Cypress. Work began Monday, June 29, 2020, and will run through November 1, 2020. Crews will work daily from 9 am to 3:30 pm. Scott’s Safety will supply MOT (maintenance of traffic). SR 82 from Alabama Road to the Lee/Hendry County Line: Florida Department of Transportation Construction Project: Crews will be widening SR 82 to four lanes from Alabama Road to the Lee/Hendry County line.

• Motorists should expect intermittent eastbound and westbound lane closures on SR 82 during daytime and nighttime/overnight hours from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday throughout the duration of the project, weather permitting.

• Motorists should expect a traffic shift on SR 82 from Grant Boulevard to Jaguar

Boulevard. Motorists will be shifted to the north, with one lane of traffic in each direction. Motorists should follow detour signs and use caution as crews work in the roadway.

• Motorists should expect Naples Avenue closed.

Additional work includes construction of a median separating two 12-foot travel lanes in each direction, 6.5-foot inside paved shoulders, bike lanes, a 5-foot sidewalk on the north side, and a 10-foot shared-use path on the south side. The project will also add a grass median and LED lighting throughout this segment. The expected completion date is end of 2020. The Contractor is Sacyr Construction. Stringfellow Road, Pine Island (from the four-way stop, south to St. James City Bridge): A contractor for the Lee County Department of Transportation will be starting a sidewalk/bike path repair project along Stringfellow Road in Pine Island on Monday, September 7, 2020. Villa Fuerte Construction will make repairs on 7.25 miles during the next two months. Motorists should use caution, as there will be intermittent lane closures

US 41/Cleveland Avenue from Winkler Avenue to SR 82/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard: Construction project: Crews will be installing and relocating utilities and constructing medians on US 41/Cleveland Avenue from Winkler Avenue to SR 82.

• Motorists should expect Hanson Street closed on the west side of US 41/Cleveland Avenue.

• Motorists should expect Hanson Street as a right-in/right-out only travel pattern

on the east side of US 41/Cleveland Avenue. • Motorists should expect Linhart Avenue closed on the west side of US

41/Cleveland Avenue. • Motorists should expect Winkler Avenue closed on the west side of US

41/Cleveland Avenue. • Motorists should expect intermittent northbound and southbound lane closures

and detours on US 41/Cleveland Avenue during daytime and nighttime/overnight hours Monday through Friday throughout the duration of the project, weather permitting.

• Motorists should expect side road closures from Winkler Avenue to Victoria

Additional work includes installing drainage structures, pedestrian signals, upgrading signals and lighting, and resurfacing existing highway. The project will be constructed in three segments.  Each segment will have the majority of construction completed prior to moving to the next segment Construction will begin on the first segment from Winkler Avenue to Carrell Road. Crews will work on the west side of the road initially and when that work is completed, they will shift to the east side of Cleveland Avenue/US 41.  The expected project completion date is the summer 2022. West Mariana Ave., North Fort Myers: Lee County DOT will be making drainage improvements and adding sidewalk on West Mariana Ave. between N. Tamiami Trail and Piney Road. Construction is expected to begin on Monday, August 31, 2020, and be completed by the end of 2020. The project will include intermittent daytime lane closures (9am-4pm) within the referenced area. Motorists, as well as pedestrians, should use extra caution in this area during construction. For additional questions or concerns, please contact DJ Padgett at 239-826-6342. Winkler Road Sidewalk Project: Lee County DOT along with Denco Construction will be making improvements on Winkler Road between College Parkway and McGregor Boulevard. Work will include water main replacement, drainage improvements and a new sidewalk along the east side of Winkler. The project is expected to begin on Monday, February 24, 2020 and be completed by December 2020.

• After April 12, 2020, daytime lane closures will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This will be a flagging operation in the work zone. Drivers and pedestrians should use extra caution while traveling through this area.

Bridge Maintenance Big Carlos Bridge Maintenance: A contractor for Lee County DOT will be performing maintenance work on the Big Carlos Bridge. The activities are scheduled to start on Monday, September 28, 2020, and should be completed by November 20, 2020. Motorists should use caution, as there will be sporadic lane closures. Del Prado Blvd S, Bridge #124063: Lee County DOT Operations will be performing handrail repairs to Bridge #124063 on Del Prado Blvd south of Viscaya Parkway. Work will start on Monday, October 26, 2020 and finish on Wednesday, October 28, 2020, weather permitting. There will be single lane closures from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. 3. Landscaping College Parkway: Lee County DOT Landscape will be performing a repair to an irrigation mainline on College Pkwy. west of Caloosa Yacht and Racquet Club Drive. Work is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 and be completed by Friday, October 30, 2020. Maintenance of Traffic will be in place to direct traffic through the work area.
