AIME (AUSTRALIAN INDIGENOUS MENTORING EXPERIENCE)As their Year 12 National Partner, we support AIME to positively engage and equip Year 12 students across Australia with valuable skills and the belief and confidence to finish school and transition into further education, training or employment.

GOOD RETURNThe Accenture Australia Foundation, in collaboration with Good Return, developed the Skills for Life project in 2009. Since this time, over 10,000 people living in the Philippines, Indonesia,Cambodia and Nepal have been quipped with skills in financial literacy and received livelihood training to further their business skills and help their business to succeed.

WEAR FOR SUCCESSAccenture undertook a project on a pro bono basis to enhance the ‘Online Reporting and Booking Tool’ at Wear for Success, following our implementation of the tool in 2014. Wear for Success can now better manage participant bookings, administration and reporting processes, seeing an increase in efficiency and effectiveness in how client information is captured and used.

SKILLS TO SUCCEEDAccenture believes having the right skills to open doors to meaningful, lasting employment or business ownership is critical. Accenture’s Skills to Succeed program aims to equip more than 3 million people globally with skills to get a job or build a business by 2020, and together with our strategic non-profit partners we are well on our way!

Accenture in Australia and New Zealand has recently launched the Skills to Succeed Academy. The Skills to Succeed Academy is a free, online learning program that helps address youth unemployment by building crucial skills and confidence of young jobseekers. It’s suitable for people in metropolitan, regional and remote areas, and is designed to provide young people facing challenges of entering the workforce with relevant and practical skills.

Employees at Accenture can volunteer and fundraise for a range of non-profit organisations that align with Skills to Succeed, the Environment, Digital and STEM, health, plus much more. All Accenture permanent employees have 7.5 hours of paid volunteering leave each year.

MANY RIVERSTo support their Mentoring Program, Accenture built a technology platform to capture mentor and business owner data, enabling Many Rivers to scale the program and support strong and effective mentoring relationships.

OZ HARVEST (NOURISH PATHWAY)We support Nourish to equip participants with a range of skills including basic cooking skills, nutrition, food safety, kitchen hygiene, communication and teamwork skills, resume writing and job interview preparation, which leads to a nationally recognised qualification in the hospitality industry.

Globally, managing our energy use helped make 2015 the most energy-efficient year in our company’s history!

Since the outset of our energy management programs in 2007, the collective electricity efficiency of our offices around the globe has improved by more than 28 percent.

The Sydney Accenture office uses a black water treatment plant that transforms building waste water into clean, recycled water for toilets and site irrigation.

The Sydney Accenture office occupies a 6-Star Green Star Rating from the Green Building Council of Australia. The Green Star accommodation provides significant environmental benefits, including reduced water consumption mentioned above as well as heating, cooling and lighting efficiencies.

Employees cook healthy meals with quality food that would otherwise go to landfill with nonprofit organisations, OzHarvest, in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney and at FareShare in Melbourne.
