Leader Feedback- Group led trekking Grand Canyon (Charity Challenge, October 2015)

Saly Moore

“Our 4 leaders - Mireia from CC and Chris, Ian and Charlie from Peak were all absolutely superb.

They made the trip. Everyone one of them put our wellbeing and enjoyment first and we were

just one team, if not family very quickly, supporting each other. The good humour and team

work were excellent - could not have gone with a better set of people!!”

Jamie Leadbeatter

“Mireia was an amazing leader - caring and considerate of all of the group, got to know us all

and it was really nice to have her joining in all aspects of the challenge. The 3 leaders (Chris,

Charlie and Ian) were fantastic! I can’t fault any of them in any way at all - I really feel that they

learnt a lot from the group as much as we learnt from them”

Jonny Lee

“The overall organisation and knowledge of everyone involved stood out, everyone knew any

questions that arose and didn't need to ask someone else for help. The American guides aswell

were seriously top notch. I couldn't fault anything at all and can only say that it was the best 9

days of my life and I'd recommend it to anyone”

“It truly was the best 9 days of my life, I did t have many expectations going into it, but it blew

any I would have had”

William Moore

“Our leader and guides were fantastic, they made this trip fantastic. The scenery and

surroundings came second.”

Amanda Richards

“Fantastic trip. Mireia was an absolute star Thank you all for your great support” Arthur Burke At Phoenix, we were met by Mireia, the trek leader and our guides – Chris, Charlie and Ian.

They certainly looked the part. It was a good trip. The Grand Canyon is a magical place.

But what really made it was the people. We were there with a great bunch of guys. In a group

of fourteen, there’d normally be a couple of people worth avoiding. But we were all there to

raise money for charity, support each other and have a good time. And I can’t thank the Mireia

and the guides enough. They worked their butts off all through the trip – leading us safely

through the Canyon, weighing in with bits of equipment we’d forgotten, answering all our

questions with saintly patience. They made sure we had plenty to eat every day. They

understood the importance of tea to the British traveller. And all the time, they were positive

and upbeat. That attitude filtered down to the rest of us. Thank you to everyone in the group. I

would go to the ends of the earth with you (so long as I don’t have to camp)”.
