Consider the power of a great river. Think of how it flows with energy. Envision its depth and the way it easily negotiates obstacles. Recall how this great river starts as a simple trickle high up in the mountains, steadily gathering force.

How will you lead like a river? Where lies the source of your inspiration to lead others? How do you gather force, negotiate obstacles and flow with an energy that is uniquely yours?

Lead Like a River invites you to immerse yourself in the wild nature around you as you reflect on the patterns, visions, dreams, and concerns of your own professional life to shape the path that you and only you can follow.

The High Atlas Mountains offer the perfect setting for your journey. We spend our time in an extraordinary landscape where many grand aspects

of nature come together: mountains, desert, lush orchards, Berber villages built into the rock, and, yes, even rivers. We’ll spend the first three days at the beautiful Kasbah du Toubkal, just one hour from Marrakech airport. This hidden Shangri—la is perched on rocks with stunning views of remote valleys and the summit of Mount Toubkal, the highest mountain in North Africa. Then we’ll trek up into the mountains to a remote mountain lodge, and the following day you will spend dawn-to-dusk solo time in the mountains. The day after your solo we will return to the Kasbah for the final day and a half.

Throughout your journey you will be guided by Trebbe Johnson and Eugene Hughes, leaders of two ground breaking entreprises, and both highly trained and experienced facilitators. The program is limited to a maximum of ten leaders from a variety of countries and professional fields.

· What has served me in the past that it’s now time to let go of?

There is a shared belief amongst the Berber people that the beauty of the Toubkal National Park should be accessible to all who respect it. Perched on a rocky outcrop with panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and valleys, you will stay at the stunning Kasbah du Toubkal (1800m) within the national park. Just 60km from Marrakech, the Kasbah is situated at the foot of Jbel Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa.

On Day 1, you reach the Kasbah after a short 20 minute trek from the village of Imlil, following footpaths that weave through lush, irrigated terraces, apple orchards, and walnut groves, linking to other villages where the Berber way of life has changed little for centuries and traditional values and hospitality are unaffected by the outside world.

The Kasbah is an extraordinary venture, the product of an imaginative Berber and European partnership. To this end

the Kasbah has been transformed, using traditional methods, from the home of a Feudal Caid into a beautiful and ecologically sustainable haven. This mountain retreat provides peace and inspiration in a spectacular and remote location, whilst providing the best of modern comfort and delicious meals. Included in the price of the programme is your own room and all meals both at the Kasbah’s and during the trek.

On Day 4, after trekking up through the valley of Azzaden, the rustic hut where we will stay is a truly spectacular spot at 3000 meters above sea level. For the two nights we are there, you may sleep in the loft area of the hut or in your sleeping bag outdoors, where you can look into a sky filled with more stars than you ever imagined. We are fortunate to have our own outstanding cook. It is from this spot that on Day 5 you will head out to spend your solo time in nature, from dawn to dusk. On Day 6 we will return back to the Kasbah where we will spend the remaining 2 days of the programme.

Climbing and walking in the High Atlas requires an open mind. Lead Like a River is for men and women who are unafraid to explore new frontiers, both inner and outer. Who are enthralled with wild nature and welcome the opportunity to explore their own professional frontiers. To acknowledge what needs to change and say YES to what is calling them forth.

Leaders who are fascinated to learn more about themselves, others and the world around them. Leaders how want to leave the world more beautiful than they found it. The natural world tells you who you are. It gives you insights into what’s important to you and what needs to change, and it offers the tools to move forward on a path that deeply fulfils you.
