LCAP Overview
• Districts are required to adopt LCAPs every three years
starting in July 2014, and update these plans annually
• Districts are required to use the LCAP template adopted by
the State Board of Education (SBE)
• Must include both district-wide goals and goals for each
numerically significant student subgroup
• Districts must specify actions they will take to achieve
annual goals
• Districts must solicit INPUT from various stakeholders in
the development of the LCAP

• LCAP has three sections: • Stakeholder Engagement • Goals and Progress Indicators • Actions, Services, and Expenditures
• LCAP Goals aligned with Local Education Agency (LEA) Plan and Strategic Plan
• Plan includes Actions and Services from LCFF: Base and Supplemental/Concentration ($14 M)
• LCFF: Base - listed if specific contributions towards LCAP Goals

LCAP Goals • Goal 1: (a) Every student will improve one performance band on
the California Common Core State Standards (CCCSS) / Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) annual assessment in English Language Arts as established in 2014-2015. (b) Every student will improve one performance band on the California Common Core State Standards (CCCSS) / Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC) annual assessment in Mathematics as established in 2014-2015.
• Goal 2: All English Learners will become proficient in English and reach high standards, at a minimum, attaining proficiency or better in reading, language arts, and mathematics.
• Goal 3: All students will be taught by highly qualified teachers and personnel.
