L/C Creation Type L/C Detail in Process finder as shown below and click on it

Click NEW button to get a blank entry screen of L/C:

Starting with Base tab, Enter the details of L/C as shown like L/C No., date, expiry date, L/C opening

Customer & Bank. As soon as we select the customer the address will automatically come from the

masters.




In the same screen further below, the user can enter the Advising Bank, the beneficiary bank,

Inco/Delivery terms, and payment terms

Note: All Bank codes are to be selected and Address details will get populated automatically from

Bank masters.




Tolerance, Quantity & Amount will be entered

L/C Expiry City and Shipping Mark (Text)

can be entered here if required.




In Detail tab enter the following details like destination, Country of Origin& destination, shipped by,

Buyers Notify party. Everything will be selected through a look up (Masters) already maintained in

the system.

Addition to the above details, user can enter details like legalization required (Y/N), partial shipment

allowed (Y/N), etc as shown. Also confirming Bank & B/L consignee can be entered.

All these details are non-mandatory, user can enter if required for information purpose.

Other details like Ports of discharge & loading, etc can be entered and finally the Bank code.




L/C Clause can be entered by user in LC Clause tab.

These clauses are basically remarks that need to be typed in the L/C document.

The same Clauses can be used to print in all related post shipment document OR Individual clauses

can be mentioned separately for each post shipment documents. For this the user needs to click on

Mark All radio button as shown in the below screen shot.

In covering template tab, user needs to tag the Bank covering template, party covering template &

Reference covering template which needs to be defined separately which is explained below.




A new Popup window will appear

User can remove any of the unnecessary post shipment doc by selecting the check box against it &

clicking on Validate button as shown. Similarly a NEW post shipment doc can be added by clicking

on New button and entering the document description as shown.

User needs to tag the L/C document to the Sales order received from the Customer against which the

dispatch will be carried out. For this user needs to click on Detail button in header level as shown and

subsequently a new screen will be opened up to enter the SO details.




Choose and SUBMIT

Choose the SO from the look up




You can view the Item details of that L/C after the above process by clicking on ITEM button as

shown.

Finally SAVE the L/C document, by clicking on SAVE button in header level.
