LSBU Law Summer School 2018
In June/July 2018 we will be holding our first ever Law Summer School for law students from around the world. We are a top 20 UK Law School* located in the heart of London – a short walk from the South Bank Cultural Quarter and the West End, as well as the principal courts and the Houses of Parliament.
We are inviting law students from around the world to join us. The Summer School will be in two parts:
Part 1:International Comparative Law Student ConferenceJune 25th – 29th 2018
Together with our partner Law Schools in Bahrain, Brazil, China and Egypt we are hosting a student led international conference on Comparative Law. Students will make and discuss presentations on topics such as Access to Justice, Euthanasia, Intellectual Property and Women’s Rights.
Conference sessions will examine how these topics are treated across the major legal systems of the world – Civil Law, Chinese Law, Common Law and Islamic Law.
Part 2:English Legal Practice Summer SchoolJuly 2nd – 20th 2018
Three weeks of classes and visits to Historic, Cultural and Legal London.
Classes will focus on:• The English Legal System• Civil and Criminal Litigation• Alternative Dispute Resolution
And the development of professional skills such as:• Advocacy• Client interviewing• Drafting• Mediation• Negotiation

Summer School fees include:
• Accommodation in Dante Road (our nearby, modern Halls of Residence situated central London, 15 minutes’ walk from the South Bank, London’s cultural quarter)
• 25 hours of classes, activities and visits every week• Breakfast and lunch on teaching days (5 days per week)
